"innana turun ke dunia akhirat"adalah mitologi utama innana,memiliki dua versi,versi sumeria dan akkadia dengan sedikit perbedaan detail,versi sumeria hampir 3x lbh panjang dr pada versi akkadia.

dalam mitologi sumeria,akhirat disebut dengan
kur,yg digambarkan gelap dan jauh dibawah tanah,diperintah oleh
ereshkigal,saudari
innana.innana mengunjungi kur,dengan alasan ingin mengunjungi
gugalanna,suami ereshkigal,bagian ini cukup membingungkan krn gugalanna adalah nama banteng surga yg dibunuh gilgamesh dan enkidu dalam kisah epos giglamesh,lagipula suami ereshkigal adalah
nergal,bukan gugalanna.
sebelum berangkat,innana
sdh bersiaga utk kemungkinan terburuk,oleh krn itu ia menitipkan pesan kepada
ninshubur agar meminta tolong kepada
Enlil, Nanna, Anu, dan Enki apabila ia tidak kembali dari dunia akhirat/kur dalam waktu
3 hari,hukum di kur,semua yg masuk kesana tidak boleh keluar,kecuali sipembawa pesan,dalam hal ini ninshubur.
innana saat mengunjungi kur,menggenakan 2 kalung,cincin emas,turban,lapiz lazuli,wig,pakaian kain,total berjumlah 7 mcm brg.setiap barang adalah sumber kekuatan innana,dan ini menimbulkan kecurigaan ereshkigal.
7 mcm perlengkapan yg dikenakan innana ini satu persatu,termasuk
bajunya,dilucuti sebagai syarat melalui tiap 1 pintu gerbang kur,yg diserahkan kepada setiap penjaga gerbang kur yg berjumlah 7(surga dan akhirat sumeria berjumlah masing masing 7),sehingga ketika innana mencapai tingkat tertinggi kur,ia telah telanjang dan kehilangan kekuatannya dihadapan ereshkigal.innana dengan arogansinya berselisih dengan ereshkigal,disini jg disebutkan adanya 7 hakim kur,yg disebut
annunaki,memutuskan hukuman utk innana,yaitu kematian.vonis annunaki membunuh innana dalam sekejap,dan mayatnya
digantung menggunakan kaitan(hook)

3 hari dan 3 malam berlalu,
sesuai pesan innana,maka ninshubur meminta bantuan Enlil, Nanna, Anu, dan Enki.tiga nama pertama menolak,dan seperti biasa,hanya dewa yg selalu digambarkan plg baik,dewa enki,yg mau membantu.enki menciptakan 2 makhluk tidak berkelamin,yaitu
gala-tura dan
kur-jara dari kotoran kuku para dewa.enki memerintahkan gala tura dan kur jara utk menghadap ereshkigal utk meminta mayat innana,dan setelah mayat innana berhasil diraih,berikan air dan makanan kehidupan sehingga hiduplah innana kembali.meski demikian
galla,iblis bawahan ereshkigal mengikuti innana keluar dari kur,galla meminta syarat harus ada salah satu dewa yg masuk ke kur menggantikan posisi innana di kur.pertama galla menginginkan ninshubur,tapi innana menolak krn menganggap ninshubur adalah bawahannya yg setia dan berduka utk nya,kemudian galla menginginkan
shara,tukang rias innana,namun jg ditolak innana krn shara jg berduka utk nya.kemudian terlihatlah
dumuzid,suami innana,yg justru tidak berduka,berpakaian bagus dan bersenang senang dengan budak wanita nya.innana dengan ikhlas meminta galla menyeret suaminya ke kur.awalnya dumuzid nyaris lolos ,namun berkat bantuan utu,dewa matahari saudari innana,galla berhasil menyeret dumuzid ke kur.namun geshtianna,saudari dumuzid yg menyayanginya,memohon
agar ia saja yg menggantikan posisi dumuzid,maka ditetapkan dumuzid dan geshtianna berbagi waktu di kur masing masing selama 6 bulan.
*mitologi innana turun kedunia akhirat bukan hny menawarkan tuhan yg bangkit dari kematian,namun formula struktur yg lbh kompleks,yaitu kematian di[gunung golgota/kur(kur bisa jg berarti gunung,tanah,tanah asing ,menurut samuel noah kramer,ahli penerjemah sumeria)] dan bangkit dalam tiga hari,pakaian/atribut yg dilucuti dalam proses sebelum mati dan dibagi bagi(mazmur 22:19 dan yohanes 19:23-24 menyebut pakaian yesus dilucuti dan dibagi bagi menjadi 4,+1 jubah yg diundi),firasat/persiapan sebelum kematian(berdoa ditaman getsemani?) namun tetap menjalaninya,dan jg ending kematian yg digantung[salib/hook],dan jg ,pembaca bisa merasakan konsep : dewa/tuhan yg menggantikan posisi[menebus dosa manusia/dewa lain yaitu dumuzid,dewa penggembala domba,dan geshtianna yg menggantikan posisi innana] yg seharusnya ditanggung [manusia/innana] yg terbebas dr [kematian/kur]
