The Bully I Accidentally Kissed Chapter 01
During the blackout at our class reunion, I kissed the school heartthrob, Tyrell Hayden.
His moist, ragged breaths brushed against my ear, sending me fleeing in panic.
But late that night, Russell Fleming, the school bully, ranted in the group chat. "Who the hell kissed me?"
Shit!
So, the guy I kissed was him!
***
Tyrell Hayden was going abroad.
When I heard the news, I felt like my whole world was falling apart.
Tyrell wore a white shirt, his features sharp and defined. His every smile and every frown stirred my heart, and he was exactly my type.
Some classmates toasted him and jokingly asked who he couldn't forget.
In a heartbeat, his gaze found mine.
He pursed his lips and said, "I'm grateful to Margo Knox, who has helped me with my studies over the past three years."
Damn it!
If I had known he was going abroad, I would have done everything to make sure he didn't pass.
My hands clenched into tight fists.
I forced a smile, and my voice was as sweet as honey. "Helping others has always been my thing."
Suddenly, the boy across from me snickered.
It was Russell Fleming, the school bully.
He casually draped his toned arms over the back of his chair while his piercing gaze stayed fixated on me.
I was too drowned in my own sorrow to care.
Until...
With a click, the lights went out.
The room was plunged into darkness.
Girls squealed and took refuge in their boyfriends' arms.
Although I couldn't make out his face, I knew Tyrell was right next to me.
So, when he leaned in, I wrapped my arms around his waist, tiptoed, and kissed him.
He froze instantly.
My heart thumped against my ribcage as his fiery hand wandered across my skin.
His lips were warm, and I savored the kiss recklessly.
I didn't expect someone so slender to have such a sculpted body.
For no reason, Russell's face flashed through my mind.
How could that brute ever compare to Tyrell?
I squeezed my hands nervously, cheeks flushing, and whispered, "If you want...
"I'll be responsible for you."
After saying that, I cupped my burning face and fled the scene.
As soon as I ran back to the dorm, I saw Russell's message pop up in the group chat.
"Who the hell kissed me like that?"
Did I just get a little copycat?
But how could this girl be interested in Russell?
I grabbed my clothes and headed for a shower, planning to come back later for the juicy gossip.
To my shock, the group chat went wild.
Russell was handsome, but his cold personality kept girls away. Still, he had a loyal group of male friends.
Friend A: "I'll be damned!"
Friend A: "Who was tempted by our Russ's charming looks and pulled off such a disgusting stunt?"
Friend B: "She might have even caused the power outage!"
Friend C: "Not many girls came today, and quite a few are already taken."
Friend A: "It must be premeditated. What else did she do?"
Russell: "She said that if I want, she'll be responsible for me."
Russell: "Sounds like... she wants to marry me?"
A chip got stuck in my throat.
I put down my crossed legs.
I was utterly stunned.
Wasn't this what I said to Tyrell?
My roommate sidled up to me and guffawed. "You left so early. After the power came back, Tyrell was cowering in the class monitor's arms. Who would've guessed that a tall guy is scared of the dark? Hahaha...
"Also, Russell's lips were swollen. Whoever did that was such an evil genius! Hahaha..."
Her dazzling smile hurt my eyes.
I was utterly dumbfounded.
If Tyrell was the one in the class monitor's arms, then who was in mine?
Nervously, I glanced at the screen.
One moment of courage could bring a lifetime of regrets.
One by one, the girls in the chat group declared their innocence.
At this rate, they would soon find out I was the culprit.
Thinking for a while, I replied, "Is there a chance that the one who kissed you was a guy?"
I didn't realize that single line would hit Russell's male friends like a ton of bricks.
Before Russell could say anything, one of his friends went ballistic. "Bullshit!
"I bet it was you!"
Words failed me.
