His Hundred Wishes For Her Chapter 01

Every werewolf in North America knows that Kaelen, the Alpha of the Blackwood Pack, is a man of his word.
He once pledged one hundred wishing crystals to his ex, Isabelle—a promise that bound him even after we became mates.
So Isabelle used the wishing crystals time and time again to interrupt our lives.
The first time, she used a crystal during our bonding ceremony to demand Kaelen hunt a snow deer for her in the Rocky Mountains. Kaelen abandoned me at the altar in front of the entire pack.
The second time, she wanted Kaelen to accompany her to Las Vegas. Kaelen left me stranded on a remote highway, and I had to walk for an entire day just to get out of the wilderness.
…
The ninety-ninth time, her wish was for a hunting competition with me, but in the forest, she viciously attacked me with claws laced with silver.
As the silver poison ravaged my body, I lost the pup I was carrying, and my wolf was on the verge of fading. Yet, Kaelen took the pack’s only healer and the vital healing herbs away for Isabelle.
My life hung by a thread, but when I finally woke up, I saw Isabelle’s Instagram post:
“Just a little scratch, and this sweet fool used all the Pack’s resources on me.”
Without hesitation, I contacted Kaelen’s younger brother through our mind-link:
“I’ll give you all the power I hold in this pack. In return, you grant me one wish.”
————————

“Elara, are you sure?”
“As long as you ruin Kaelen and Isabelle, all the power I have is yours.”
He agreed without hesitation. “Done. Give me one week!”
After severing the mind-link, I lay silently in the treatment room, my eyes fixed on Isabelle’s new Instagram post.
“Just a little scratch, and this sweet fool used all the Pack’s resources on me.”
The accompanying photo showed Kaelen tenderly bandaging a scrape on her thigh.
Tears blurred my vision as I stared at the photo.
Just as my treatment was about to begin, Kaelen’s men had taken the healer away, along with all the moonlight herbs that could purify silver poison.
“The Alpha’s orders. All medical resources go to Miss Isabelle first. The healer is to remain on standby outside her room.”
The pup I hadn’t even known I was carrying was gone, too.
When the healer finally returned, he broke the news with a heavy sigh.
“I’m sorry, Elara. We couldn’t save the pup, and your wolf has suffered permanent damage.”
With a creak, the door to the treatment room was pushed open, and Kaelen strode in.
The moment I saw him, my tears fell uncontrollably.
Grief and anger surged through me. I wanted to scream at him that our pup was gone.
But before I could speak, his words froze me in place.
“Elara, you need to apologize to Isabelle for what happened today.”
“Her leg was bleeding, Elara. She was in so much pain she couldn’t stop crying.”
Kaelen’s tone was firm, leaving no room for argument.
“Apologize? You think I should be the one to apologize?”
My eyes burned with tears as I stared at the man before me. “I’m the one lying here! I’m the one who was left to die in the forest! And my wolf might never fully recover, did you even think of that?”
Kaelen seemed taken aback, a crack in his composure.
It was only then that I realized. I had been lying here for a whole day, and he hadn’t even bothered to check on me.
He didn’t know how severe my injuries were, nor did he know that I had lost our pup.
But soon, his composure returned.
“Elara, Isabelle used a wishing crystal to hunt with you. I had to fulfill her wish.”
“Besides, your injury has nothing to do with Isabelle. She was just joking with you in the forest, but you tried to attack her with your powers. Your injury is your own fault.”
“So, under the circumstances, I naturally had to prioritize Isabelle.”
I stared at Kaelen’s face and couldn’t stop myself from hurling the herbs on the bedside table at him.
The leaves scattered, but Kaelen just looked down on me, as if I were a hysterical madwoman.
With me, he was a dormant volcano—cold and unmoving.
Only for Isabelle would that volcano erupt with devastating passion.
“Kaelen, you bastard!”
Kaelen turned his head to dodge the herbs, his brow furrowed. “Elara, you’re becoming hysterical. I’ll overlook it this time. Go apologize to Isabelle when you’ve calmed down.”
“Be good. Just one more wishing crystal, and this will all be over.”
No, Kaelen. What needs to be over is us.
Just as he finished speaking, his phone rang with Isabelle’s exclusive ringtone. Kaelen answered it.
“My queen? You’re awake? Craving steak from that place downtown? Of course. I’m on my way.”
Kaelen hung up and walked briskly out of the room.
I couldn’t stay silent any longer. Just as he was about to step out of the treatment room, I called out to him.
“Kaelen, I’m tired. Let’s sever the mate bond.”
