Train Accident at Sedayu Gemuh Crossing, One Person Dies

Kendal, April 27, 2025 – A train accident occurred at the Sedayu railway crossing, Gemuh District, Kendal Regency, on Sunday afternoon, at around 16:30 WIB.

The victim, a man, was hit by a train while crossing the tracks at a location without a barrier. The victim suffered serious injuries due to the impact and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Local residents who witnessed the incident immediately reported it to the authorities. Shortly after, police officers and a medical team arrived at the location to conduct an evacuation and process the crime scene (TKP).

The victim's identity is still being recorded, and the victim's body has been taken to the nearest hospital for further identification.

Authorities urge the public to always be careful when crossing railroad crossings, especially those that are not equipped with safety systems such as barriers.
