In the vibrant spirit of National Safety Month, PT Bara Anugrah Sejahtera (BAS), a part of the Titan Group, illuminated the Panggung Island Site in the Tanjung Agung District, Muara Enim Regency, South Sumatra. On Monday, January 29, 2024, the production area bore witness to this commemoration through a ceremony attended by BAS management and collaborative partners. Despite overcast skies and a drizzle accompanying the event, participants' enthusiasm remained high to carry out this annual agenda.

Safety and Care Balloon Release

The ceremony kicked off with the release of safety balloons by Aris Study Palimbunga, the Head of Mining Engineering (KTT), PJO (Operational Responsible) PT.MUM, and a representative from the contracting team. In his address, Aris Study Palimbunga, KTT PT. BAS, expressed gratitude to the Almighty for enabling everyone to gather for this event.

"I extend my thanks to BAS employees and contractors, as well as all parties supporting the National Safety Month event at PT Bara Anugrah Sejahtera," he said.

National Safety Month 2024 Theme: "Cultivate Healthy and Safe Work Practices for Sustained Business Success"

The 2024 National Safety Month carries the crucial theme, "Cultivate healthy and safe work practices, ensuring sustained business success." The Minister of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia's message, conveyed by Arma Yoga Kurnia Putra, an employee of PT. BAS, emphasizes the importance of enhancing understanding and awareness of labor norms.

The Minister also underscores the vital role in improving the quality of life and the Human Development Index, supporting national development, and enhancing national competitiveness in the global era.

Throughout the National Safety Month observance, PT Bara Anugrah Sejahtera showcased various activities from January 12 to February 12, 2024. Some of them include:

Opening Ceremony of National Safety Month: Centralized at the PT.BAS Panggung Island mining area.
Blood Donation: Collaboration with the Indonesian Red Cross in the Muara Enim Regency.
Table Tennis Competition: Employee competition to enhance camaraderie.
Quiz Competition: Knowledge competition among employees to ignite the spirit of learning.
HSE Goes To School: Visit to the prestigious Muara Enim High School to spread safety awareness.
Health Checkups in 3 Ring 1 Villages: Involving Panggung Island Village, Darmo Village, and Keban Agung Village.
K3 Ambassador Assessment: To set an example of safety in the workplace.
National Safety Month Closure: Event marking the conclusion of activities on February 12, 2024.
"All these activities aim to raise awareness of the importance of building a safety culture in the workplace and the community," added Yoga.

Hopes for the Future: Achieving Accident-Free Working Hours

With the National Safety Month commemoration, PT Bara Anugrah Sejahtera hopes that efforts to improve the K3 Culture can be more effective in accident prevention. Yoga expresses his hope, "May PT Bara Anugrah Sejahtera (Titan Group) continue the achievement of accident-free working hours (manHours Non LTI), which has reached 9,231,560 working hours since the project's inception in 2015."
