CJ Entertainment, the distributor of Broker / 브로커 is planning to submit the film to this year’s 75th Cannes Film Festival. It marks Koreeda’s first Korean film, and his second film made outside Japan after The Truth (2019). The film revolves around characters associated with baby boxes, which allow infants to be dropped off anonymously to be cared for by others.

PREMISE

Group of people, brought together by a baby box, set off on a journey that will lead to destinations they never expected.
