Chinese metaphysician Clement Chan launches Hong Kong’s first NFT charity project
Decentralization model lowers costs, boosts credibility and enables donors to manage donations directly and facilitates one wish to come true per month
Clement Chan Ting-bong, a renowned Chinese metaphysician in Hong Kong, has just announced the establishment of the foundation Darumachi DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization). The city’s first NFT(Non-Fungible Token) charity project, Darumachi “DeChari” (Decentralized Charity) enables donors to directly get involved in managing the donations they make. The startup team will issue 4,777 Darumachi NFTs in total while the pre-sale of 777 NFTs will be launched on 29 January 2022. Excluding the NFTs owned by the team members and those used for promotion, all remaining Darumachi NFTs will be put up on public sale for 1 SOL each on Darumachi’s website on the first day of Chinese New Year (1 February), and will become available on Magic Eden tentatively scheduled from 2 February onwards.
With an interesting fictional story as a background, and combining NFT and blockchain technology, DeChari is Hong Kong’s first decentralized charity, which does not have the typical complex administrative structure and procedures of conventional charities and is therefore more flexible, transparent and efficient.
