Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg officially announced a new name for the parent company that houses Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, et al.

The company, which was originally called Facebook Inc., has now changed its name to "Meta".


Zuckerberg announced the name change at the annual Connect conference which was held on Thursday (28/10/2021) United States time or Friday (29/10/2021) early morning Indonesian time.
