Candace Owens finds it ‘hilarious’ a COVID testing center doesn’t want her business

Right-wing provocateur Candace Owens claims she has never “laughed harder” than she did when a COVID testing center turned her away, shortly after she called suggestions that she’d missed a speaking engagement because she’d contracted the virus a “conspiracy theory.”



Owens posted an email that appears to be from a Colorado COVID testing facility in which the owner seems to tell her that because of misinformation she spreads about the deadly pandemic that has killed 640,000 Americans, her appointment for a COVID test was being given to someone else.

“I’ve just learned of this testing request and as the owner of this business am going to cancel this booking and refuse service,” the email said.

The rejection letter notes that Owens boasts about being unvaccinated and suggests she goes to a kiosk at City Hall for her test, where they don’t take appointments and ask patients to enter through a back alley.

“My team and myself have worked overtime, to exhaustion, unpaid and underpaid this past year, spending our own capital to ensure that our community remains protected,” the email reads. “It would be unfair to them and to the sacrifices we have all made this year to serve you.”

Owens was slated to speak at a conservative conference in Texas over the weekend, but withdrew, according to one speaker there, due to “sudden illness.” When it was suggested online that the 32-year-old Connecticut native may have been stricken by COVID, Owens went online to call it a “conspiracy theory” and said she was vacationing with her family in Aspen, Colo.

On Thursday, Owens posted her rejection letter on Instagram along with what she said was an email she wrote back to the testing center.

“Truly, I’ve never laughed harder,” Owens wrote in response. “Nothing screams ‘I love my community’ quite like refusing to test people who are going to a local event and wish to ensure they are negative and therefore do not spread the virus.”

Both parties accused each other of politicizing the pandemic in their respective letters.

Owens went to to say the rejection letter was “emotionally unstable and hysterical” and accused its author of “virtue signaling.”

Owens also made a nearly 10-minute video explaining that her assistant booked the appointment under Owens’ married name, Farmer, and accused the facility of googling potential visitors to learn more about their ideology.

She said that she’s been tested hundreds of times and believes COVID is “deadly,” but doesn’t want to get vaccinated personally. She wondered why a health professional would want someone in their community wandering about, not knowing whether or not they’re carrying the virus.

“We are allegedly in a public health crisis,” Owens said.

Owens also suggested that Suzanna Lee, the person she said canceled her appointment, could be refusing her service because she’s Black and accused that person of being a “leftist activist who clearly doesn’t care about public health.” That lab could not be reached for comment Thursday.

The Aspen Times reports that Owens told them she managed to get a test from a physician and it showed she was negative. It also said Lee confirmed she’d written the letter to Owens, but didn’t intend for it to be published.

Colorado congresswoman Lauren Boebert sympathized with Owens on Twitter and blamed “the left” for denying her a test.

Klo liat email penolakan dari klinik yang dimaksud udah bener sih, klo ga percaya covid itu ada, ngapain marah2 klo loe ditolak untuk PCR test (rupanya Candace dan keluarga butuh hasil PCR untuk naik pesawat/traveling keluar dari negara bagian Colorado ke tempat lain)
