Getter Robo Series Thread

Getter Robo adalah serial manga super robot yang ditulis Go Nagai(Mazinger Z, Devilman, Cutie Honey) dan Ken Ishikawa. Di Amerika dan Indonesia serial ini juga dikenal sebagai Starvengers atau Shogun Geta, kalau gak salah pernah tayang jaman TVRI.
Ceritanya nggak jauh-jauh dari bahas Getter Ray. Getter Ray ini semacem sumber energi mistis yang dipakai buat Getter Robo yang bikin robot ini bisa transformasi secara gak masuk akal. Kalau tahu energi spiral di Gurren Lagann, spiral ini terinspirasi dari konsep Getter Ray.
Nah robot Getter ini terdiri dari 3 pesawat yang bisa gabung jadi 3 variasi. Merah(attack, bisa terbang), Biru(speed, kuat di darat), dan Kuning(defense, kuat di laut).

Pengaruh series ini sangat besar buat dunia anime dan tokusatsu. Contohnya konsep mecha yang bisa bergabung, dan juga konsep mecha dengan power energi misterius.

Synopsis: From deep within the Earth's surface, the Dinosaur Kingdom make their move to wipe out mankind and conquer the planet with their mechanical dinosaurs. After a prototype Getter Robo is shot down by a mechanical dinosaur, the Saotome Research Institute decides to use the real Getter Robo, which is combat-capable. Due to a lack of pilots in the institute, Ryo Nagare goes to his college to persuade martial artist Musashi Tomoe and outcast Hayato Jin to join him and pilot the Getter Machines to combat the new threat and protect mankind.

Synopsis: Dr. Saotome, creator of Getter Robo, fears that the peace the Getter Robo team has won will be short lived and that an even greater enemies would appear. Dr. Saotome's fears are justified when the militaristic Hyakki (or "Hundred demons") Empire appears, but Dr. Saotome is prepared with the creation of an even more powerful Getter Robo, Getter Robo G and a new Getter Robo base.
Note: Hanya anime Getter Robo dan Getter Robo G yang ceritanya bersambung. Sisanya adalah reboot.

Synopsis: Dr. Saotome returns from the dead after being seemingly murdered by Getter pilot Nagare Ryoma and threatens the world with his ultimate creation: the Shin Dragon. The pilots must also deal with the mysterious Invaders, aliens that have the ability to possess humans and warp their flesh to form hideous creatures.

Synopsis: In the year 200X, Dr. Lando a mad scientist begins his attempt to take over the world from his Polar Base in the Arctic with his Metal Beasts constructed by the magnetite material G ore. Japan's Defence Agency requests help from NISAR who developed a new robot called the Getter Robo. The head scientist Dr. Tachibana is reluctant to use the robot for battle, but after his son Shinichi Tachibana's death he agrees to do so by strengthening the Getter Robo for combat after barely managing to do so with its pilot Go Ichimonji. Dr. Tachibana's daughter Sho Tachibana and another recruit Gai Daido later appear to pilot the Getter Robo along with Go in the battle to defeat Dr. Lando.

Synopsis: Getter Robo Arc is the fifth Getter Robo series chronologically.

Taking place several years after Getter Robo Go, Earth is now a post-apocalyptic world. Hayato, now an aging scientist, has completed Professor Saotome's masterpiece, Getter Robo Arc. Piloting it are Ryoma's son Takuma, the human-dinosaur Kamui, and the younger brother of Tayel, Baku. Alongside the reformed Dinosaur Empire, they fight the insectoid Andromeda Flow Country attacking from across time and space.

Cerita Getter Robo & G garis besarnya masih sama dengan anime. Ceritanya ala-ala Power Rangers. emoticon-Big Grin

Pilot aslinya Ryoma, Hayato, & Musashi. Musuhnya adalah bangsa Dinosaurus. Musashi ngorbanin diri ngeledakin robot Getter yang asli. Dinosaurus akhirnya kembali ke perut bumi setelah dikepung Getter & kekaisaran Oni.
Di Getter Robo G Benkei jadi pilot baru. Musuh barunya bangsa Oni. Di akhir cerita bangsa Oni bubar setelah kapal pemimpinnya dihajar Getter Dragon+robot bangsa Atlantis.

Ringkasan Shin Getter Robo:
Disini sifat Getter Ray yang cuma radiasi biasa diretcon, jadi punya kehendak sendiri seperti dewa.
Brai(pemimpin Oni) masih hidup dan join bangsa alien serangga.
Prof Saotome mau eksperimen amplify kekuatan Getter Dragon & Shin Getter. Karena input sinar Getter berlebihan ini akhirnya kedua robot tersebut berubah jadi makhluk hidup.
Benkei ngorbanin diri buat lawan kaiju serangga make Getter Dragon. Nanti di anime Arc juga ada flashbacknya.
Pasukan serangga ngirim pesawat raksasa ke markas Getter, tapi dimusnahin sama Getter Dragon. Efek dari serangan Dragon semua penghuni lab Saotome termasuk si profesor berubah jadi hantu. Dragon sendiri hibernasi di bawah lab Saotome.
Ryoma, Hayato, & Igari time travel ke masa depan. Getter Robo nanti akan berubah jadi Getter Emperor, yang akan menghancurkan alam semesta.
Ryoma pensiun sesudah melihat masa depan Getter. Dia balik jadi master perguruan karate bapaknya.

Ringkasan Getter Robo Go:
Pilot barunya Go, Sho, dan Gai. Hayato jadi pemimpin tim Getter gantiin Saotome.
Musuh utamanya adalah komplotan Prof Rando dan kekaisaran Dinosaurus. Arc 1 disebut pertempuran Alaska dan Arc 2 pertempuran Siberia.
Rando ngirim banyak bom nuklir(bentuknya bola hitam) ke seluruh dunia. Di arc kedua mereka juga ngubah iklim bumi dan bikin gunung berapi di kutub Utara.
Cerita manga ini mirip Pacific Rim. Amerika, Rusia, Cina, dan Kanada bikin super robot masing-masing.
Pilot robot Amerika Schwartzkopf juga jadi tokoh utama disini. Sho di arc 2 mundur dari Getter dan jadi pacar sekaligus co-pilotnya Schwartzkopf.
Di arc 2 Ryoma balik jadi pilot Shin Getter, bersama Go dan si bocah cenayang Taher/Tayel.
Ryoma, Go, Taher, Kei, dan Gai pikirannya kerasukan Getter Ray. Di akhir cerita mereka berlima dimakan oleh Shin Getter. emoticon-Berduka (S)

Shin Getter hibernasi di planet Mars. Efeknya Mars berubah jadi subur kayak bumi. Ryoma kemungkinan masih hidup saat Getter Emperor ngancurin alam semesta.
Dinosaurus sekali lagi pulang ke perut bumi.

Karena animenya banyak reboot dan ceritanya ngawur jauh TS saranin ikutin story dari manganya biar gak pusing. Shin sama Go emang kebalik gitu sih urutan terbitnya.
Sayangnya manga Getter Robo Arc harus hiatus selamanya setelah sang mangaka Ken Ishikawa meninggal dunia. Go Nagai kayaknya juga gak mau takeover serialnya.
