Nations should enact “economic distancing” in order to protect themselves from the Chinese communist party, Outsiders host Rowan Dean says.

China has been criticised for concealing the extent of the coronavirus outbreak in late 2019, with US intelligence reportedly claiming it allowed its citizens to travel overseas despite knowing the disease could be transmitted from human-to-human.

The Chinese Communist Party also reprimanded a series of doctors who tried to tell the world in early December the dangers posed by the novel virus. Mr Dean said China must “pay for its negligence and responsibility” for the pandemic.

"Last year, because of Trump's trade war, some 50 American companies have already exited China, and it is expected now that many more will do so out of the need to protect and diversify their supply chains,” he said.

"We must do the same … Tony Abbott has long been saying the answer to the China problem is for us to get closer to India and Japan.” "Social distancing is helping protect us from the coronavirus.

Economic distancing sounds like just the ticket to help protect ourselves from that other deadly Chinese pathogen, the communist party."
