PUBG Corp VS Cheater: Banned Hardware of Cheater
For those who always repeat and buy a new account to be able to play, no matter how many times they have been banned. Try to warn them, in addition to a 10 years banned, now PUBG Corp uses a more tragic way to combat cheater by banned hardware!
In the developer letter that was just published a few days ago, PUBG explained that the PUBG FIX campaign, including the anti-cheat system currently being developed, will provide a new called Banned Hardware to deal with stubborn cheater players.
"We have finished preparing banned hardware to permanently block stubborn players who can't play fair. This will start soon and target players who are always playing with new accounts," the developer team said in the letter.
Banned like this is aimed at players who refuse to play fair by blocking game access from their hardware rather than blocking their online accounts. The MAC address in the hardware parts of the player's device will determine the blocking and prevent them from accessing the banned device.
In addition to doing hardware banned, PUBG has been intensively eradicating cheaters to its roots. Starting from the beginning of this year, PUBG Corp with the help of Tencent, has captured more than hundreds of cheat makers. Even that number continues to increase along with further investigations carried out by them.
Some developers might think that getting banned is enough to deter players who use cheats from playing. However, for some regions such as in China, this is certainly a business area and very disturbing to many people, so developers must work closely with the local security forces to eradicate cheater makers in order to create a fair play ecosystem for all users.
Maybe in the next step, PUBG can give the cheaters' data to other developers, so that they will not only be banned in one game, but they will also be banned from other games. What do you think, is this punishment enough for cheaters?
