Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) 2019 telah sukses digelar di Nagoya Dome, Jepang, pada 4 Desember kemarin. Deretan bintang KPop yang hadir menerima penghargaan di berbagai kategori. BTS pun sukses menyapu bersih semua penghargaan utama.
Dipandu oleh Park Bo Gum, ajang penghargaan ini tak hanya dihadiri oleh para penyanyi dan idola KPop tetapi juga sederet aktor untuk membacakan nominasi. Di antaranya Kim Byung Hyun, Yoon Jin Yi, Choi Yoo Hwa, Joo Woo Jae, Lee Yoo Bi, Lee Yi Kyung, Lee Sang Yeob, Jung Hye Sung, Lee Soo Hyuk, Lee Kwang Soo, dan lainnya.
Ada sekitar 36 penghargaan yang dibagikan di MAMA 2019 termasuk empat Daesang (Grand Prize): Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, dan Worldwide Icon of the Year. Semua penghargaan ini dibawa pulang oleh BTS.

Tak cuma itu, BTS juga menyabet piala di kategori Best Male Group, Qoo10 Favorite Male Artist, dan Worldwide Fans' Choice Top 10. Ada total tujuh piala yang dibawa pulang BTS malam itu (delapan kalau menghitung single kolaborasi Lee Sora dan Suga di lagu 'Song Request' yang memenangkan Best Collaboration).

Selain BTS, TWICE juga jadi grup yang membawa pulang banyak piala di ajang semalam. Jihyo Cs diganjar penghargaan Best Female Group, Qoo10 Favorite Female Artist, Best Dance Performance Female Group, dan Worldwide Fans' Choice Top 10.

Chungha keluar sebagai pemenang kategori Best Female Artist dan Best Dance Performance Solo. Sementara Baekhyun 'EXO' menyabet piala untuk Best Male Artist sementara Taeyeon 'SNSD' mendapat penghargaan Best Vocal Performance Solo. Baekhyun dan Taeyeon tidak hadir dalam acara semalam.
