[EF COC] Greetings, 2019!
Wow can't believe it's already December again...
Time really flies very fast, eh?
I don't really had a lot of short-term wishes, hopes, or resolution for now, but I'll tell a few here.
Note that I will not talk about politics here, since I am not old enough to vote enough on the future election.
Here are my hope(s) for the upcoming year:

If you may not know, I am a student in a Vocational high school majoring in Visual Communication Design and
there will be a yearly internship program ran by the school starting from February, and a lot of
the internship partners that school offers in a seminar last week were pretty much unknown, or doesn't have enough
presence on the Internet nor real life to prove its quality at teaching their apprentice.

So, my first hope on the upcoming year is to spark my talent and find a quality internship workshop
that can sharpen my skills even further.

2. KASKUS would still exists
Quote:
Alot of you might already know that the popularity of KASKUS and internet forums in general
had declined at a dramatic rate among Indonesian internet users.
Because of this, alot of threads, sellers in Kaskus now are plain quiet.
If you compare the situation of the site today compared to 2010-2014, alot of the frontpage contents on
the 2010-2014 timeline were better than contents than what we saw today.
This quality drops makes a great recipe for site closure. Why? Because there's nothing
interesting to read here. Almost all content are straight copy-paste from news and blog sites.
But, besides the crappiness of the KASKUS content, mostly on "The Lounge", there's still a tons of hidden gems on other subforums, well at least some of the older threads on The Lounge too. That's why I hope KASKUS would still exists.
Sure there's KASKUS archive, but the feeling of being able to hit the comment button and pointing out your opinions, saying "PERTAMAX", "CTRL+D" wouldn't be happening at all there.

3. Removes all plagiarism issues on SNN

Source:Writer's documentation
There is a community outcry between Sonic News Network and Sonic Retro regarding the plagiarism
issues. If you haven't heard about both of them, I'll tell a short and packed information of both.
Sonic News Network is a website under the FANDOM domain focusing entirely on all information about
Sonic the Hedgehogand Sonic the Hedgehog series. I am one of the active editors on this site.
Meanwhile, Sonic Retro is an independent website focusing on information on Sonic the Hedgehog series
with additions such as the field for the work of Sonic fans such as the Sonic Retro forum,
where all amateur fan events such as SAGE are held and updated.
Plagiarism issue in Sonic News Network has already happened long even before I joined the site,
from copying text verbatim, copying user-captured screenshots without permit, and other of those stuff.
This issue could be a danger to users of both side, as some users are fluent computer language user and could hack
into the database of either side and reveal all the users identity, risking their life. Pretty creepy stuff.

4. Building my first personal computer
Quote:
My laptop has turned 8 year old, and all the low performance components inside are
severely aged and wouldn't handle modern application properly. Not only that, it is also 32-bit which
mean certain programs like video editing programs, video games, etc would not even run on this ancient ruin.
![[EF COC] Greetings, 2019!](https://dl.kaskus.id/www.pasarlaptop.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/IMAG04451.jpg)
This is the one laptop you see on a Roman empire
2019 would be the year where I would build my first, reliable computer from scratch
using parts from online stores using money from my savings.
It'll be 64-bit, using processor atleast 2 gigahertz, quad-core and NOT an Intel!
The only thing that would cause me a little trouble is the video card. I don't really understand how
do they work and how to properly install them on motherboard, guess I need to learn alot
from Computer Stuffsubforum
![[EF COC] Greetings, 2019!](https://dl.kaskus.id/unhappysoul.files.wordpress.com/2013/09/mpcdm1.jpg)
Ah yes... this is my wet dream, and possibly others too
I always love to make a modern stuff looks old, that's why I'm planning to buy a beige (or white) colored case to mimick
the nostalgic look of the good old 90s computer
severely aged and wouldn't handle modern application properly. Not only that, it is also 32-bit which
mean certain programs like video editing programs, video games, etc would not even run on this ancient ruin.

5. Learned how to drive a motorbike (and bikes in general) in near future?

That's a type of a motorbike I would like to buy

It appears that I'm cursed for not being able to drive bikes.
Every single time I sit on the front seat, and accelerate or pedal the bike, I always fall off, over, and over again.
Like bloody cow, why can't you bike gave me chance to sit on you??
Impossible is a proper word for my condition now and I can't grasp the technique on how to
properly a handlebar properly without swaying it off!

Impressions on 2018
Quote:
2018 is a very fast year for me. I didn't even noticed it was already December!
And of course, since It was too fast, there was not really any interesting thing to point out here.
The only thing that is interesting thing in this year is the video game and entertainment industry.
Lots of things happened this year. From Sonic Mania Plus full release, to Stephen Hillenburg's death.
This year could also be considered as a sad year for those who watched the cartoon, or read the comic,
since their long-beloved creator had passed away at old age. Also, for those who love science, you may have heard about Stephen Hawking dead, too.
Looking at their importance and contribution on this world, everybody really gonna miss them.
Rest in Peace, Mr. Stephen Hawking, Stan Lee, Stefan Karl Stefansson and Stephen Hillenburg.

Well, that's all for my thread. Nothing special, apologize for the offense, and thank you for reading.
Good night/afternoon/morning and welcome 2019!
