How to fix error QBWC1085 with QuickBooks Enterprise Support
This is a log file QuickBooks Web connector problem. This error gets displayed when one of the other users login into QuickBooks that your company file has been opened by someone who has a newer QuickBooks release.
Under this error:
You are unable to write to the log.
The web connector will continue to file without the log file.
1: If you are connected your data to the third party application
First, you need to close QuickBooks and web connector.
Then you have to see: /Program Data/Intuit/ QuickBooks Web connector /log, for Windows 8, 7 and Vista.
For Window XP, type c: /Documents and settings/All users/Application Data/Intuit/ QuickBooks Web connector /log.
Then you need to rename QBCLOG.TXT to QBCLOG.TXL.OLD.
After that, you have to restart your web connector.
Now you need to restart your PC, then again open QuickBooks and make login to the third party application.
2: If you are not connected your data to the third party application
First login as an administrator
Then proceed to see: /Program Data/Microsoft/Windows/Start menu/Program/Startup, for Windows 8, 7 and vista.
For Windows XP, see: /Documents and settings/All users/Start Menu/Program/Startup.
Now format QuickBooks web connector.
Then again restart the PC and open QuickBooks.
If you still can’t solve QBWC1085 error then get Help from QuickBooks Enterprise Support.
Under this error:
