Kratom and Hemp
If you’re not able to quit heroin cold turkey, warm turkey or with Suboxone as well, then you may want to consider quitting heroin with the help of Kratom. Kratom is an all natural means of helping you get through heroin and opiate withdrawals for the first few days with much less discomfort.

Kratom works. Kratom helps. It can help you to quit heroin. It can help you to quit Suboxone. It can help you to quit Oxycontin. And believe it or not, it can even help you to quit Methadone as well. And Kratom can help you too to quit heroin for good.

Kratom is a leaf of a tree found in Southeast Asia, Thailand, Malaysia, Myanmar, and other regions as well. Its botanical name is Mitragyna Speciosa and comes from the same family as the coffee tree, Rubiaceae. Kratom leaves have been traditionally used by the people of Southeast Asia for its amazing medicinal properties.

In 1897 H. Ridley was the first to report and document that Kratom leaves were an aid for opiate withdrawals and a cure for opiate dependence. Mitragynine (an active alkaloid within Kratom) has also been used for methadone dependence detox in New Zealand as well. Over the years, Kratom has been used as an alternative and natural means of treatment for many conditions, such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, chronic pain, fatigue, diabetes, opiate addiction, and opiate withdrawals, and to promote feelings of wellness and happiness. It is also used as a stimulant (in low doses), a sedative (in high doses), a recreational drug, a pain killer and as a medicine for diarrhea as well.

Kratom is not an opioid. It is not a drug. And it does not get you high like heroin. Yet it is known to produce euphoric effects and more importantly to minimize withdrawal symptoms in opiate withdrawal. Kratom is one of the only plants that is not from the opium poppy plant that acts and works on the opioid receptors in the brain to counteract pain. The effects produced from kratom plant and powders have been compared to opium, morphine, and Oxycontin.

There are many names for Kratom being sold on the market. But for opiate and heroin withdrawal, Red Vein Kratom is preferred over all others for heroin and opiate withdrawals due to its sedative, pain relieving and withdrawals relieving effects. However, all Kratom types of leaves relieve opiate withdrawal effects to some degree or another since they all work on the opioid receptors in the brain.

Red-Veined Borneo Kratom, sometimes called Red Indo Kratom, comes from the island of Borneo and is used more as a sedative, for pain relief, pain management and for opiate and heroin withdrawal. Red-Veined Kratom would be best for heroin withdrawal and for anxiety relief as well.

Bali Kratom effects are both relaxing as well as energizing. Higher doses of bali kratom tend to bring about a more relaxing effect, while lower doses of Bali produce a more stimulating effect. For new kratom users, Bali kratom effects can last from 5 to 6 hours long while experienced users may feel the kratom effects for around 3 hours long.

Maeng da Kratom is one of the most potent strains of kratom on the market and is mainly used for its stimulating effects rather than for relaxing and can last for about 3 hours long. It is very euphoric and is well liked for its energizing effects. Maeng Da Kratom leaves are pointed and is a more alkaloid-rich leaf. Maeng Da, translated to mean “Pimp Grade”, is believed to be a genetically modified variant of Thai Kratom.

Thai kratom is known for its energizing effects and as a sexual stimulant as well. It lasts for about 4-8 hours long. And Thai Kratom is reported to be more energizing than "Bali" Kratom yet less euphoric. Mitragyna Speciosa trees were banned in Thailand in 1943 so they are grown in other countries instead such as Malaysia and Indonesia.

Malay kratom is known for its’ strong euphoric and gently energizing effects as well. It becomes relaxing and sedative at higher dosages. Malay is also known for its long lasting effects, which can last for up to 8 hours long. Malay kratom is not however more widely used by many kratom users.

Green-Veined Borneo kratom is also found in Borneo and Sumatra as well. Green-veined Borneo has a high alkaloid level similar to Maeng Da kratom. And this strain of kratom is also very popular due to its balanced level of alkaloids which produces effects that are both relaxing and slightly stimulating at the same time with light waves of euphoria.

You’ll find plenty of other fancy names for kratom as well, and any type of kratom will help to ease heroin and opiate withdrawals. But the best kratom to use for heroin and opiate withdrawal is Red-Veined Borneo kratom due to its’ euphoric, relaxing, sedating and pain relieving effects.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Many Kratom sellers have their own names for the kratom products they sell so names may vary from that which is mentioned above. To make sure you purchase the best Kratom that’s best for you, simply call any of the Kratom sellers below and ask them to recommend their best kratom for heroin and opiate withdrawals. They know their stuff better than anyone else and will be more than happy to recommend the best Kratom for you.

Kratom contains over 25 alkaloids (a group of naturally occurring chemical compounds) including 7-hydroxymitragynine, 9-Hydroxycorynantheidine and Mitragynine which is believed to be responsible for most of kratoms’ effects. Mitragynine is an opioid agonist, which means that it has an attraction towards the opioid receptors in the brain. And these opioid receptors are able to influence your mood, pain levels and anxiety levels as well.

Mitragynine binds to these receptors and helps to improve your mood while also giving the user a pleasant feeling of euphoria just like heroin does, although kratom will not give you the same high as heroin. The difference between kratom and opiates is that kratom prefers delta opioid receptors first while heroin and other opiate drugs bind to mu opioid receptors.

At higher doses however, kratom increasingly stimulates mu opioid receptors in the brain. And this is most likely why kratom has a stimulating effect at lower doses and a narcotic effect at higher doses. This may also be the reason why kratom is not as addictive as heroin and other opiate drugs are, although kratom can become mildly addictive as well after continual daily usage.

When a person stops using heroin and is using the kratom to come off of the heroin, the withdrawals from the heroin are minimized and moderated by the binding of Mitragynine to the delta opioid receptors, thus making withdrawals from the heroin much easier to deal with. Not only can Kratom help people to come off of heroin, but it can also help users to come off of suboxone, methadone, and oxycontin as well.

Different types of kratom can produce different effects. And the effects of kratom can differ from person to person depending on the amount of kratom used, the type of kratom ingested and the tolerance level of the user. The effects of kratom can be both energizing and relaxing as well. Higher doses of kratom tend to promote relaxation, while lower doses tend to produce a more stimulating effect. The effects of kratom can usually be felt within 20 to 30 minutes after ingestion and can last anywhere from 3 to 4 hours long or 5 to 6 hours long depending on the users tolerance and the type of kratom used.

Kratom affects each person in different ways. And as mentioned above, there are many kratom strains from various geographical locations. Each region produces exceptional kratom and each one has its own and unique kratom effects.

How much Kratom to take:

How to take kratom and how much to take depends on your tolerance level and the potency of the kratom as well. And as a general rule or guideline, it would be best to start with lower doses such as 1 to 2 teaspoons for example, and then work your way up if necessary. NOTE: Some users may need more than 2 teaspoons per serving, every 3, 4 to 5 hours as well. Results will vary from person to person.

Kratom grades come in different levels as well such as commercial grade, premium, super, enhanced and extract products. Extracts labeled 15x is the standard extraction. Anything labeled above 30x is probably the seller inflating the concentration values. However, it would be best to stay away from enhanced or extract products as such grades will only lead to a very high tolerance level rather quickly. Start off with good, genuine quality kratom leaf/powder and take only as needed.

1 teaspoon = 4 Grams (3.8 grams of kratom powder)

2 teaspoons = 8 Grams (7.6 grams of kratom powder)

1 Tablespoon = 10 grams (10.4 grams kratom powder)

Most heroin and opiate users can start off at 2 teaspoons (7 to 8 grams) of kratom every 4 to 5 hours or as needed in order to begin to bring relief for heroin and opiate withdrawals. For example:

Day 1: After your last use of heroin, try to hold off until you start to feel withdrawals before taking your first dose of kratom. Then start off at 2 teaspoons of kratom, 4 times per day (every 4 to 5 hours) with your own preferred method of consumption, (ie. mix and drink, kratom tea, or capsules. (more on this below). Wait 20 to 30 minutes for effects to take place. 2 teaspoons of kratom 4 times per day may be enough to take away 60% to 70% of the heroin withdrawals (and sometimes more) for most heroin and opiate users. The effects of kratom can last anywhere from 3, 4 to 5 hours long, but try to hold out for as long as you can before taking your next serving of kratom. (Total kratom used for Day 1= 30 grams of kratom powder.)

NOTE: Some users may need 3 teaspoons of kratom depending on the users’ habit size, tolerance level and the potency of the kratom as well.

Day 2: Repeat. Take 2 teaspoons of kratom 4 times per day, or as needed (every 4 to 5 hours) (via your preferred method of consumption). Try to stretch out the waiting period in between kratom servings for as long as you can in order to conserve kratom and to begin to lower your tolerance level as well. (Total kratom used for Day 2= 30 grams of kratom powder.)

Day 3: Repeat. Take 2 teaspoons of kratom 4 times per day (every 4 to 5 hours) or as needed (via your preferred method of consumption). Try to hold off on your next serving of kratom for as long as you can in order to conserve kratom and to continue to lower your tolerance level. (Total kratom used for Day 3= 30 grams of kratom powder).

Day 4: Reduce intake of kratom by ½ teaspoon or less. Take 1 and a ½ teaspoons (or less) (via your preferred method of consumption) every 5 hours or as needed. Again, try to stretch it out for as long as you can in order to conserve kratom and to continue to lower your tolerance level. (Total kratom used for Day 4= 22 grams of kratom powder, or less).

By Day 4, the worst of the heroin withdrawals should be over. You may still feel discomfort but not as bad as Day 1 through Day 3. And you can begin to reduce your consumption of kratom significantly.

Day 5: Reduce intake of kratom to 1 teaspoon and for 1 serving only. For example: Take 1 teaspoon of kratom (via your preferred method of consumption) one time for Day 5. (Total kratom used for Day 5= 4 grams (3.8 grams) of kratom powder).

Day 6: Reduce intake of kratom to ½ teaspoon and for 1 serving only. For example: Take ½ teaspoon of kratom (via your preferred method of consumption) only 1 time for Day 6. (Total used for Day 6= 2 grams (1.9 grams) of kratom powder)

Day 7: Stop! That’s it. No more kratom!

WARNING: Kratom has been known to become mildly addictive after taking it daily for several days or more and this is why it’s best to reduce consumption after the first 3 to 4 days and then stop by Day 6, or before as well. Use it to come off of the heroin and not as a replacement substance, otherwise after several days of use you may begin to feel mild withdrawals from the kratom as well.

Total kratom powder needed for example used above = 117.70 grams (120 grams) of fine kratom powder. Average cost= around $50 to $60 or less.

NOTE: As mentioned above, how much kratom each person will need will vary from person to person. Everyone is different and everyone will react differently to kratom. Some people may need to start with more than 2 teaspoons for Day 1, Day 2, and Day 3. And some people can get by on just 2 teaspoons of kratom every 4 to 5 hours or more. You will have to decide on what works best for you. But for the most part, kratom will help to reduce withdrawals from heroin and other opiate drugs, including methadone, suboxone and pain killers such as oxycontin for example.

TIP: If you’re going to start off with 2 teaspoons via the ‘mix and drink’ method then you may want to drink 1 teaspoon at a time as 2 teaspoons of Kratom may be hard to swallow for some. For example, add 1 teaspoon of kratom to ¼ drink. Then mix and drink. Then add the 2nd teaspoon to ¼ drink and then mix and drink again. Then wash it all down. This can also help to prevent possible gagging as well.
