Senior Software Engineer

Description:
Take over full responsibility for the quality of development projects
Collaborate closely with the product and design team to translate requirements into technical designs
Develop, test and deploy code that is part of a product used by millions of people every month
Maintain a high quality standard for the end user experience from mobile to desktop
Quickly debug and analyze issues that affect the usability and performance of our website platforms
Deliver incremental results live on our site on a weekly basis with the support of an agile team
In collaboration with the CTO, set the vision for the technology and architecture to stay current


Requirement:
A Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related subject
3-5 years of experience delivering tools on tight schedules in a company known for best-in-class products
Proven experience working in a multi-national environment with agile methodologies
Positive, go-to attitude, and the ability to quickly learn new technologies
Strong drive to find, analyze and solve complex software problems
Fundamental knowledge of web technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript 6, AJAX and PHP
Always up to date with the latest developments in web standards and trends
Expert in client-side technologies like jQuery, jQuery UI, Bootstrap and Responsive Design
Curiosity for the evolution of cloud database technologies like Elastic Search
Deep Understanding of MVC design patterns and web service APIs
Practical QA experience using PHPUnit and other testing
Understanding of Source Control tools and related practices like Git
