Proses Shooting Sherlock Season 4 Telah Dimulai



Tak banyak serial yang bisa membuat tergila-gila fans-nya seperti Sherlock. Ya, serial yang hanya memiliki sedikit episode di tiap season-nya ini memang berhasil membuat para penontonnya berdecak kagum disertai dengan rasa penasaran yang tinggi. Serial yang dimulai pada tahun 2010 ini terbilang unik dari segi waktu perilisan, karena memiliki jeda waktu yang begitu panjang hingga 2 tahun lamanya. Beruntung, aksi terbaru dari serial ini mulai dekat untuk bisa kita nikmati karena season ke 4 Sherlock telah masuk dalam masa shooting. Dilansir dari MovieWeb, berikut pernyataan Benedict Cumberbatch perihal mulainya shooting Sherlock season 4.

“(I am) genuinely thrilled to be back filming Sherlock with all the cast and crew. I can’t wait for everyone to see Season 4. But you will have to wait… though not for long… And it will be worth it.”

3 episode dalam season ini akan ditangani oleh Rachel Talalay, yang telah berpengalaman sebagai sutradara, produser, dan professor di dunia film serta televisi hingga lebih dari 25 tahun. Ia pernah menangani Doctor Who, The Flash, dan The Wind in the Willows.

Sebelum rilisnya season 4 ini, Sherlock sempat meluncurkan satu episode spesial tahun baru yang berjudul Sherlock: The Abominable Bride. Episode tersebut ditonton hingga lebih dari 11.6 juta orang dan memecahkan rekor sebagai share penonton tertinggi untuk serial Sherlock.

Sherlock ditulis dan dibuat oleh Steven Moffat bersama Mark Gatiss dan tentu saja terinspirasi dari kisah legendaris karya Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Sherlock diproduksi oleh Sue Vertue dan yang menjabat sebagai eksekutif produser adalah Beryl Vertue, Steven Moffat, dan Mark Gatiss dari Hartswood Films, Bethan Jones dari BBC Cymru Wales, dan Rebbeca Eaton dari Masterpiece.

Sherlock season 4 akan tayang tahun 2017.

Shooting for Sherlock series four begins

Filming for series four of Sherlock, the multi-award-winning hit BBC One drama produced by Hartswood Films, has started.

Sherlock will return to screens with three brand-new episodes promising laughter, tears, shocks, surprises and extraordinary cases...

Series four begins with the nation’s favourite detective, the mercurial Sherlock Holmes, back once more on British soil, as Doctor Watson and his wife, Mary, prepare for their biggest ever challenge - becoming parents for the first time.

Benedict Cumberbatch said he was “genuinely thrilled to be back filming Sherlock with all the cast and crew. I can't wait for everyone to see season four. But you will have to wait... though not for long... And it will be worth it.”

The first of the three feature-length episodes will be directed by Rachel Talalay, who has worked as a director, producer, and professor in film and television for more than 25 years, having previously directed Doctor Who, The Flash and The Wind In The Willows.

Sherlock: The Abominable Bride, which aired on New Year’s Day this year, was the most watched programme over the festive season with 11.6 million viewers and the highest-ever audience share for a Sherlock episode. The Victorian special was also released in thousands of cinemas around the world to complement the TV broadcast.

Sherlock is written and created by Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss, and inspired by the works of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Sherlock is produced by Sue Vertue and the executive producers are Beryl Vertue, Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat for Hartswood Films, Bethan Jones for BBC Cymru Wales and Rebecca Eaton for Masterpiece.
