,This is we post about
our biggest event of SPE ITB SC in Petroleum Engineering Department Bandung Institute of Technology, called Integrated Petroleum Week 2016 or IPWeek2016. Integrated Petroleum Week 2016 (IPWeek2016) is an international petroleum event in a week which allows many systems exist in the students, universities/institutions and companies integrated together to connect. “Integrating the Connections” will be our breakthrough theme of IPWeek2016 this year to answer the needs of being connected as well as responding to the abundances of industries and students questions. IPWeek2016 will be held in Bandung Institute of Technology, Indonesia in February 25th - 27th 2016.

Poster&Photo Competition is the only one Pre-Event of IPWeek2016. This Pre-Event for IPWeek2016 will be divided into two categories, which is photo competition and poster competition. We will bring “The Greatness of Indonesian Cultures” for photo competition, and “Sustainable Eco-friendly Related to Decarbonizing International Energy”for poster competition as IPWeek2016 Pre-Event main issues.

Spoiler for IPWeek2016 Energy and Exhibition, Professionalism, and Career Seminar (IEPCS):
The Opening of IPWeek2016 will be the IPWeek2016 Energy and Exhibition, Professionalism, and Career Seminar (IEPCS). At the first day, IEPCS will concerning on future energy development, business & professionalism, and politic demand in petroleum and for its commencement speeches. The next day, IPWeek2016 will provide advantageous informations about company profile of the well-known oil and service companies in an exhibition.

The energy conference of IPWeek2016 is the solution to connect ideas of youth to solve the problem of world’s energy crisis by simulating a conference comparable to Model United Nation. In this conference, the participants will conduct oneself similarly to a delegates representing a specific country and expostulating ideas among the others to discuss the world issues.

IPWeek2016 Smart Competition will challenge students to develop their knowledge through analyzing the problems and be exerted to answering the correct solution in a limited time.

Spoiler for IPWeek2016 Oil Rig Design Competition (IORDC):
In this event, students will be encouraged to blend the power of knowledge, engineering and design to overcome the problem related to offshore oil exploitation. The students are required to create a model of oil rig to approach the real oil rig design in field by considering several fundamental factors, such as the model effectiveness, the safety and the budget plan.

The 16th Annual IPWeek2016 Paper Competition will integrate the student knowledge from various majors.IPWeek2016 Paper Competition is one of the initiating approach for students to explore their willingness, expertise, and encourage them to create their innovation and breakthrough into integrated paper.

IMC is the first Mud Competition in Indonesia that pioneered by Students. This competition emphasized on how participants solve the problem given by expert lecturers, IPWeek2016 committee, and the companies whose sponsored for this competition. This competition aims to encourage participants to enhance their knowledge about drilling-mud problems in various rock formations.

Spoiler for Matahari Indonesia:
Matahari Indonesia will be the closing ceremony of IPWeek2016. It is a gala-dinner for delegates and judges of each competition, IPWeek2016 committee, and boards of SPE ITB SC which held in GrahaCimbeluit, Bandung. It covers announcement of the competition winners and cultural performances from five islands in Indonesia. These performances are presented by ITB’s cultural unions and represent each island which has its own characteristics.
The participants, juries, keynote speakers, and even sponsors will be exposed tremendously in massive sequential events which are Pre-Event of IPWeek2016; IPWeek2016 Energy and Exhibition, Professional, and Career Seminar (IEPCS); IPWeek2016 Energy Conference (IEC); IPWeek2016 Smart Competition (ISC); IPWeek2016 Oil Rig Design Competition (IORDC); IPWeek2016 Paper Competition (IPC); IPWeek2016 Mud Competition (IMC); and Matahari Indonesia. As we move forward, we are committed to extend the success of the last three consecutive years of IPW from 2013 to 2015. IPWeek2016 have towering intention be an incubator for powerful intellectual ideas that have real world applications; and to modernize and expand student connections.
