Haj pilgrims warned against carrying Viagra, sexual creams and porn material



Riyadh: As scores of Haj pilgrims set out on their pilgrimage to Mecca, the government of Saudi Arabia has issued a slew of guidelines that include a ban on carrying materials like Viagra, sexual creams, oils and pornographic materials or photographs.

According to an advisory issued by the Haj Committee of India (HcoI), the pilgrims are not allowed to carry things like Viagra tablets, sexual oil and cream, Khash-khash, Synthetic Capore, Cystone, Khammera, Gutkha, Khaini, Gul, Pipermint or narcotics in any form.

Also, the “Government of Saudi Arabia has banned carrying all political literature, photographs or pornographic material of any kind while visiting Saudi Arabia for Haj,” the Haj Committee advisory states.

Anyone found carrying these banned items while on Haj trip to Saudi will invite legal punishment.

The pilgrims are also not allowed to carry any inflammable articles viz. kerosene, petrol, stove etc. in any form.

Also, carrying eatables (foodstuff, cooked or uncooked) while on Haj pilgrim, is strictly prohibited.

“Haj pilgrims are not permitted to carry oil, ghee, pickles, fish, sweetmeats, vegetables, fruit and similar articles etc., with them either in their personal baggage or otherwise. The Customs Authorities at Jeddah or at the Indian Airport itself will confiscate such items and the pilgrims will have to face hardship,” reads the statement in the advisory.
