you name it ... sampai anak anak suka mainanini software yaaa gan ...

kita cerita dikit ni gan dulu waktu masih nubie ya ... waktu diceramahin history nya photoshop gitu ...
agan agan musti kenal 2 creator nya dulu ni gan ...



yang sebelah kiri kakak nya Thomas Knoll, yang sebelah kanan John Knoll ... terkenal dengan sebutan Knoll Borther gan ...
keduanya sudah tidak aktif di Photoshop, kadang kadang aja sih gan ...

ide awal nya dari Thomas Knoll gan ... katanya sih mau buat thesis doctoral buat lulus lulusan jurusan Computer Vision nya dia di University of Michigan ... dia kasih nama awal nya DISPLAY gan ... karena bingung ide dia minta bantuan dari adik nya John Knoll ... btw yaa ... John masih kerja sebagai Visual Effect artis di ILM gan ... Industrial Light and Magic, punya George Lucas itu lo gan ... John cuma perlu code programming utk nampilin raw images yg cukup bagus untuk di proses selanjutnya ... biasa untuk sequences editing dan compositing ...

mereka berdua ngerjainnya cuma pakai computer colour-enabled Macintosh II aja tu gan ... jadul abiss ... komputer awal awal yg bisa berwarna tu gan ... biasa akhirnya John minta nambah namabah deh ...plugin lah ...effect lah ... nuntut gan biasa artist ... but anyway ya gan ... ternyata setelah lulus doctoralnya mau dijua susah abis gan ... nongkrong di Silicon Valey lama juga mereka ... ujung ujung cuma dapat perusahan scanner tu gan ... software support doang di Barneyscan ... sampai akhirnya deal nya sama Adobe.

nama cewe nya Jennifer ... istri dari John Knoll ... btw ya gan John Knoll itu masih kerja di ILM Industrial Light and Magic lo gan ... sekarang sebagai Chief Creative Officer gan ... itu juga nga nge lepas sebagai Senior Visual Effect Supervisor gan... kalau ditanya kerjaan nya seperti apa kira kira ya gan ... kalau StarWars filem pertama itu ada sekitar 2000 effect shot, John bisa ngerjain 500 shot deh gan ...

versi 1.0 nya cuma bisa running di Apple Macintosh gan ... baru versi 2.0 nya bisa running di Windows gan ...
jangan salah ya gan ... baru setelah versi 2.5 ada CMYK dan 16bit nya, utk layer nanti nanti deh,yg ada cuma channel di awal versi nya ... soalnya versi sebelumnya memang cuma kepikiran buat video dan film aja,mereka sampai dedicated RGB sebagai first color mode nya tu gan ... sampai sekarang tu gan ... gokil ya gan ... nah seterus nya baru deh ada photo editing dan lain lain masuk gan ...









buat yg belajar Animasi dan Visual Effect harus tau John Knoll ni gan ... kerjaan nya di ILM nga ada yg nga gokil ...
