Militer Azerbaijan Mengorder Luchnik-E Short-Range AirDefense System Dari Russia
Luchnik-E short-range air defense missile system uses 8 Igla-S missiles ready to fire.

Kazakhstan is significantly modernizing its Armed Forces at present and Russia is ready to offer its’ most up-to-date military equipment to Kazakhstan.

Luchnik-E system is equipped with 16 missiles from Igla-S Portable Air Defense System and modern 24-hour optoelectronic target acquisition system that is able to follow four air targets at the same time.

The Luchnik-E short-range self-propelled air-defence missile system (SPSRAD MS) developed by KBM RPC, JSC together with SAZ JSC and GRPZ JSC is intended for protection of small-size assets and military units (including those on the march) from low-flying air threats by engaging them with 9M342 fire-and-forget missiles from the 9K338 Igla-S MANPADS in optical countermeasure and natural clutter environment, round-the-clock in an automatic mode of target detection and tracking.

The SA-24 Grinch (Russian name Igla-S 9K338) is the latest generation of Russian portable air defense missile system. The Igla-S tactical and technical characteristics enable it to destroy targets at altitudes up to 5-7 km. The limiting altitude of effective target destruction is 3.5 km.

The Luchnik-E can be used autonomously and as part of an air-defence unit (battery) under automated combat management from battery command posts such as 9S737MK Ranzhir-MK, PPRU-M1, PU-12 etc.

The system is capable of defeating advanced fixed - and rotary-wing tactical aircraft, cruise missiles, and unmanned aerial vehicles in the day- and night-time. The system can engage air threats while moving at up to 20km/h.

The Luchnik-E turret is mounted on an MT-LB tracked multirole armoured vehicle which provides high mobility in all-terrain conditions and amphibious capability.

Along with Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan also expressed interest to Luchnik-E ZRK.
