“Carry On” adalah sebuah lagu oleh American band indie Fun. Hal ini dirilis pada tanggal 23 Oktober 2012 sebagai single ketiga dari album kedua mereka, Some Nights. Lagu ini ditulis oleh anggota band, Nate Ruess, Andrew Dost, Jack Antonoff, bersama produser album, Jeff Bhasker.

“Carry On” bisa disebut “sebuah lagu tentang keteguhan/kekuatan dalam masa-masa sulit”, yang didukung oleh suara rock-lagu tersusun 12/8 waktu. Lagu ini dimulai dengan bernyanyi Ruess dengan vokal samar, seperti ia menghadapi mencoba bunuh diri, vokal samar Ruess ini, pada akhirnya diperkuat oleh paduan suara yang besar dan anggota band yang Jack Antonoff yang bermain gitar. seperti orang yg sedang bercerita sambil istirahat di sebuah bar bersama teman-temannya, yang mulai merenungkan orangtua mereka. Antonoff memberikan permainan singkat, 20 detik “Slash-type wailing” solo gitar, yang muncul lebih dari dua setengah menit ke dalam lagu.

in my opinion, the best song off the album. His voice really comes out here, and the meaning is really inspirational telling you to forget about the bad things and just “carry on”. I like how in the beginning he continues to say we are not shining stars (kind of like we are not perfect) then at the end he says we are shining stars. He contradicts himself, but for some reason it just makes sense.
