Sudden Exposure of China’s Fighter Jet Production Workshops Worries Japan.






Recently Chinese TV stations have exposed the fighter jet production workshops at Shenyang and Chengdu Aviation Corporations. Their scale and details have impressed experts at Japan’s Fuji TV.

China, however, has recently published a report on enhancing its ability to create weapons and equipment on its own. Analysts believe that China intends to put an end to its dependence on Russia for advanced weapons.

According to US National Defense Weekly, China has a huge national defense production system with capability to build 1.5 million tons of ships, 1,200 fighter jets and 7,000 to 9,000 tanks a year.


At present, China’s military industrial and electronic technology falls a little behind the West, especially in engine production for its aircrafts and warships. However, it now has surpassed Russia in the technology for stealth fighters, long-range cruise missiles and accurate guided weapons and has better space and missile technology than Europe.

Helped by technological exchange with Ukraine, Israel, Sweden and other countries, China may entirely be free from its dependence on Russian weapons in a decade.

Chinese air force has built 40 underground air bases very difficult to be detected by enemy satellites, aircrafts and land-based observation equipment.

Those bases have a capacity for 1,500 military aircrafts, more than enough for all modern Chinese aircrafts in service. They can ensure the survival of Chinese air force even under heavy attack from US air force.
