WHY NOT ME
WHY NOT ME?

WHY NOT ME

Why not me? Why not me that won that trophy? Why not me who was the best in the class? Why not me that becomes the president director? Why not me who won that girl’s heart?

WHY NOT ME? a very simple question to be asked to ourselves. Most people often only congratulate and envy other people’s achievements whereas only a few that thinks about why not him/her that was in that position. Is it because we’re a different species with those who have achieved many things in their life? Or maybe we’re only common people who are destined to live a common life? No, we’re not. Basically we’re all the same, human being. So, why him/her instead of me considering we’re all the same human being? Efforts, sacrifices, ambitions are one of many elements that make him/her far different from us.

Ask this question to urself and see what people around u have achieved so far in their life and compare with what u have achieved so far. They’ve been winning many competitions, have traveled overseas, have become successful entrepreneurs, have become a young executive manager, or have a drop-dead gorgeous girlfriend. Why is it not u?

Honestly, have this kind of question crossed ur mind before? I, myself, just realized how powerful this question is. I’ve been asking myself this question lately before I slept and soon realized that I have been wasting most of my time to do something unnecessary, unimportant, and completely useless instead of trying to achieve something in my life. Somehow it motivates me to be a better person, to achieve something more, to do something that seems impossible to be done.

This is what has been called as “Why Not Me” mentality. This phrase has been used by mostly Chinese private entrepreneurs in order to compete with others, to prosper, to have a better life and to create a bigger industry. Factually, it worked. China has become a leading country especially from economical aspect because most of its people possess this kind of mentality to survive in the harsh market competitions.

This is what we have to do, to keep asking that question every time we see someone achieving something, retrospect what we have done so far, and keep trying and giving our best efforts to become a better human being or to achieve something bigger than him/ her. Keep doing it until other people ask the same “why not me” question when they see us.

So, Instead of asking “ Why Me” questionto urself which mostly referring to an assumption that u’re the only one who suffer more than anybody else and causing a self-hatred, It’d be much better to start asking “ Why Not Me” question to urself.

Sorry, for this random morning break note. I hope it brings something good for those who read it. emoticon-Big Grin
