The Ministry of Defence of Kazakhstan intends to purchase from Russia two harbor minesweeper of 10750E project. The contract for minesweepers supply, which will be built on the basis of the project 10750 “Sapphir” with a number of significant changes, has already been signed with the Kazakh military department. The first ship, ordered by Kazakhstan, is expected to be built in 2015. Kazakhstan needs ships of 10750E project to find and destroy the possible mines in the sea area of ​​200 square kilometers. 10750 project minesweepers’ total displacement is 135 tons with a length 31.5, width of 6.5 and a draft of 1.5 meters. The ships are capable to produce velocity up to 12 knots. The ships are equipped with an artillery complex AK-306 of 30-mm caliber with ammunition for 500 shots.
