"Auld Lang Syne"("s" diucapkan sebagai "z") asalnya adalah sebuah puisi Skotlandia yang ditulis oleh Robert Burns tahun 1788. Lagu ini dikenal di banyak negara, terutama di negara-negara yang berbahasa Inggris. Lagu ini lazim digunakan dalam merayakan awal Tahun Baru di tengah malam.
Selain itu, lagu ini juga dinyanyikan di pemakaman, wisuda dan pada acara perpisahan lainnya. Pramuka dan gerakan pemuda internasional di banyak negara, menggunakannya sebagai penutupan jambore.
Judul lagu ini yang aslinya dari bahasa Skotlandia, bila diterjemahkan ke bahasa Inggris menjadi "old long since", atau "long long ago" atau "days gone by" atau "old times".
Bait pertama lagu ini yaitu "For auld lang syne", diterjemahkan ke bahasa Inggris menjadi "for (the sake of) old times". Atau dalam bahasa Indonesia diterjemahkan sebagai "Demi (kepentingan) masa lalu".
