SYSTEMS ANALYST (JD EDWARDS/ENTERPRISE ONE)

1. System Analyst - Operational
Support JDE power users and to develop JDE application to better leverage ERP system.
Help lead cross-functional teams to address business or systems issues
Analyze complex business problems to be solved with JD Edwards system.
Provide technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing system solution and procedures.

Perform Software Quality validation procedure when required.
Work very closely with QA Team and recommend iterative retrofit/development/testing cycles
Take responsibility for writing unit tests, business cases, testing and supporting project requirements.
Prepare Gap Analysis, unit testing, integration and acceptance and quality test.

Help with implementation of JD Edwards Enterprise One updates (Bug fixes / Enhancements)
Design and document work flows and for processes and systems
Create system specifications to meet requirement.
Will often be responsible for the completion of a component of a project.
Provides guidance and mentors less experienced team members as necessary.
Works and partners with other team members and must accept and learn from constructive feedback.

Understands the software development life cycle (SDLC) and its different phases
Demonstrated ability to work with clients for requirements gathering and scope definition.
Knowledge of n-tier development with experience of working with Java/J2EE middle ware environment.
Exposure to using the native BI tools or exposure to BI products for management reporting.
Identify requirements to develop basic and complex reports using standard tools.
Knowledge of Database Schemas and development on either DB2 or Oracle and Crystal Reports a plus.

2. System Analyst - Upgrade
Experience of at least 1 upgrade from 8.x to 9.x or similar and 1 full life cycle JDE implementation on 8.x / 9.x
Provide Technical and Functional oversight for the large scale upgrade of JDE ERP system from 8.11 to 9.1
In depth knowledge of 9.0/9.1 functional areas and version deltas and ability to suggest opportunities for optimal design
Provides guidance and support in testing phase and migration of any subsequent modifications to production.
Ability to coordinate & conduct UAT with JDE Power Users and fluency with configuration changes,
Understanding existing program customization and suggest opportunities leading to de-customization.
Review custom modules and suggest best fit ERP solution using out of the box components over customization.
Understand data conversions and the use of data transformation technologies.
Exercise judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
Ensure the software is configured for quality, performance and conformance to Business requirements.

3. System Analyst - Support
Work through system related maintenance requests and address questions/concerns with users to expedite in timely manner.
Responsible for tracking issues by following documented processes and procedures and meeting service level agreements.
Completes application maintenance functions as generate new requests as required.
Ensures user satisfaction by providing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting & quickly resolving routine problems.
Displays excellent customer service & interpersonal skills with ability to build partnerships across all teams and levels.
Strong written and verbal communication skills required (English).
Ability to manage time, prioritize, multi-task and work independently, while displaying attention to detail.
Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
Should demonstrate increased awareness and exposure to the underlying technical principles, concepts and techniques.
Should have had some experience working in a consulting organization either off site or preferably abroad (US/Europe) at client site.

The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering with a minimum of 3 - 5 years experience in an application development & analysis role in a relevant environment or organization.
