Hey guys! How's it going? I've been busy with college work which is why I haven't been on lately. It's midterms week and I don't expect to work on any more college papers this semester so I've got more free time. I'm planning to sign up for PKL (praktek kerja lapangan) for the summer semester, but

@Astraios: Well said. I understand your frustration about having threads filled with whining and complaining. Sometimes it does relieve stress to just let it out, but most of the time it's hard to justify.
Hmm, didn't know there was an English debate already. The most hotly debated topics are usually religious/philosophical which I'm not interested in. I'm glad there's an index thread in DC which made it easier to find an economic thread such as "Kapitalisme dan Sosialisme".

Most of Indonesia's TV programs are overused garbage. It's mostly the same stupid scenarios with different names. There are a huge number of shows dedicated to following celebrities around. Indonesia's gossip culture results in people wanting to know about people's lives no matter how pointless, so

I often read about foreigners' frustration in getting straightforward answers from Indonesians, especially when it comes to reporting problems or potential problems. Mutual understanding of a situation is probably the biggest...
