INDRAMAYU - A fish milk factory in Indramayu, West Java, is said to be able to produce 30 tons of active fish milk.

CEO of PT Gives Indonesian Technology, Yogi Aribawa Krisna, said that his party could meet the needs of 169,000 school children.

"With one fish protein hydrolicity industry (HPI) with a capacity of 30 tons per month, we can cover the need for fish milk in 120 milliliters for 169,000 school children," he said at a press conference in Indramayu, West Java, Wednesday, September 18.

Yogi believes that if HPI factories have been built in every region, all protein needs for children will be met. In addition, economic circulars will also be formed.

"Well, imagine if for example there are many HPI industries like that, yes, stand in each region. It is thought that protein autonomy will occur, economic circulars will be formed," he said.

He explained that the protein autonomy in question is that the source of the fish raw materials is supplied from traditional fishermen along Indramayu to Subang, West Java. Then, these fishermen are grouped into cooperatives or fishing groups.

Then, they supply fresh fish to factories. Yogi claims, with this factory, traditional fishermen have received market guarantees and prices for caught fish.

"Well, so this is an example upstream of how we involve many local fishermen. We involve industries that create jobs, so that the products are HPI," he explained.

According to Yogi, when the protein autonomy is running, later the derivative product process, both in the form of fish milk and cookies to others, can also be done in the same place.

"So, the upstream industry and its derivatives are in the same place. Well, when this happens automatically in the derivative industry, it also (there is) job creation," he said.
