As you know the tittle of these post, maybe one of you have the same question or somebody out there have the same problem regarding learning language, especially French. As a French language coach and instructor, there are a lot of French learners and also my students as well, who ask me “how can I speak French fluently?”, ” how to learn French easily?”, etc.

Most of language learners, especially beginners, face the same matter, but actually there are simple things to do that sometimes you missed it and you never thought that it actually works. To learn foreign language easily and to be fluent, you have to get used to it, because foreign language might be new to you that you don’t ever heard yet, wheter the words, sentences, or anything else. In that way, you can learn French easily.

Now you already know that the key is you have to get used to it, I mean the language itself. In order to get there, you have to do these six (6) tips I will vive to you. The questions of my student and learners out there inspire me to post this articles and also to help you figure out to solve the matter. Stay tuned and let’s check this out !

1. Pronounce out loud when you read some text or book

It doesn’t have to read a book, for those who learn French, they must be have some handout or maybe printed documents of lesson. You can read it, but do it outloud until you hear your own pronounciation clearly. As you do it consistently, you’ll have a better pronounciation. It makes you get used to the french pronounciation.

2. Read a book

Like I said before, you don’t have to read a book. It might be difficult for you as beginners or even absolute beginners. In the other hand, we actually need to read in order to get used to the french text. For this I recommend to read comic books. Usually, they use a little bit simple language and it is a good fit for new learners. Comic books is good because it contains conversational language and visualisation, so it’s easy to understand. You can chill out and learning at the same time.

3. Whatching french film

Watching movie also play the important part for learnears, it make you get used to listening. It is also become oral comprehension. Watch french film and turn on the caption into french (e.g: YouTube), in order to get you accustomized with the native french and dialogue.

While listening, you can also read the text/caption in French. It makes you understand easier. Most of the comics I wrote above are also have the film version or series, so you can search it.

4. Listen to French song

Learn french with song. Song makes you remember vocabulary easily. You can search a French song in the internet and download it. To learn easily, don’t forget to search the lyrics and print it.

5. Practice your French

This is important. You need to practice the language that you learn, don’t be shy to speak. If you have some French friends, don’t hesitate to speak French with them. This is the most important part to learn the conversation. You are lucky if you already have them. But not all learners have French friends, in this situation you can search language exchange through internet or use social media and find friends with the same interest as yours. Technology makes it easier !

6. Take a note and search difficult words using dictionary

Always take a note when you learn something new about the language. Writing is the most effective way to remember what you learn. If you find new words or even difficult words, you can write them in your notes and start to search the meaning, then write it alongside with the french words. Remember that writing is the great way to remember.

Well, that’s all my tips for you, beginners and learners out there. It is obviously a simple thing you can do to learn French easily and it makes you have a good progress on your learning. These way are not just for French learners, but it is basically for all foreign language learners. You also can use it when you learn in more advance stage of foreign language. The most important thing you have to do is review the lesson after everytime you finish the session with your teacher. It is to refresh your memory and to make sure that you understand the lesson.
