Indonesia is a country that did not use English as mother language. Many parents in Indonesia crave their children have foreign language skills, especially English since children are still at an early age. This is not wrong because acording to theory and research result, children in early age is a good moment to begin learn foreign language. Experts argue that language skill as well as walking ability, are part of child's development that is influenced by brain maturity. Experts also point out that certain parts of the child's brain are related to the development of language, so the damage at that part can cause language barrier. Thus it can be concluded that naturally children already have language and communication skills from birth.

In language learning, a child has an innate grammar ability to detect certain language categories such as phonology, syntax and semantics. Children are born with internal mechanism or capacites so they can organize the environment and learn the language.

Because of children have abilty above, then our duty as educator and parent only give certain stimulation to accelerate the ability of children in mastering the language that they want to learn. Here are same ways to introduce and help your child to master English quickly :

1. Familiarize children with activity that use English.

The first step to introduce children in English by getting kids to actively involved with English language activities. Example : teach children laern English with song. Play English songs and invite them to sing. Another example is provide books or materials that contain English. It could also be a technique to read stories and fairy tales with combination of English and Indonesian. Guide them slowly to master the English language material.

2. Familiarize the children to practice their English.

Household environment is the best environment to cultivate child talent. Parents can use English to converse with their children in various situations. Use combination language as a relaxed means to practice your child's English skills.

3. Provide English learning facilities

Children are given adequate facilities to learn English at home, try children's learning activities guided by parents with a relaxed and fun atmosphere. for example by utilizing ICT-based media or computer with software learning English for children, parents should be involved in its activities.

4. Send the child to an English course.

There are many places that offer English language training for children. Remember the course chosen should have a method and curriculum for learning English for children. The course method at this institution should be fun for the child, with a combination of learning English and children's games.

The fastest way to teach an English child is to send a child in an environment that communicates daily in English. Many parents send their children to live with a family like their aunt or uncle who lives abroad so that the child can be fluent in English.
