A Monster Calls is an upcoming drama fantasy film directed by Juan Antonio Bayona, based on the 2011 novel of the same name by Patrick Ness, who also wrote the screenplay and based on an original idea by Siobhan Dowd. The film stars Lewis MacDougall, Liam Neeson, Felicity Jones, Toby Kebbell, Sigourney Weaver and Geraldine Chaplin. The film is scheduled to be released on October 14, 2016, by Focus Features.

Plot
