These two lone-wolf heroes, thrown together by fate, must learn to fight as one to defeat the powerful enemies that threaten Draconis, Earth, and a vast universe of parallel worlds.

Platinum’s ambitious action game Scalebound will be now be released on PC as part of the Xbox Play Anywhere scheme. The news came during Microsoft’s E3 2016 press conference.

During a gameplay demo that showed off Platinum Games' "biggest ever boss fight", it was revealed that the game would be both cross-buy and cross-play across Xbox One and Windows 10 PCs.

Back in 2015, Phil Spencer told PC Gamer that Scalebound would not be making the move from Xbox One. "Going to those teams mid-cycle and saying: ‘Hey, by the way, I want to add a platform,’ didn’t really feel like necessarily the best way to end up with the best result for the game," he explained.

The last time we heard from Scalebound was when its developer confirmed that the game wouldn’t be releasing in 2016. The game still has an unspecified 2017 release date.

Scalebound was revealed at E3 2014. In August 2015, we flew to Japan for our IGN First, which contained a ton of footage and behind-the-scenes interviews with the development team.
