Tuhao bus driver drives Lamborghini to work



How tuhao is Taiyuan? Apparently even its bus drivers drive Lamborghinis.

Photos have gone viral on the Chinese internet of a public bus driver in that fine city, who conceals his true tuhao identity during working hours. According to NetEase, the driver sees himself as just another ordinary citizen, simply one who drives a yellow Lamborghini Gallardo or a blue Audi R8 to work, rather than take the bus.



He is also a member of a luxury car club in the city, which we'll just assume is the same one that stopped traffic earlier this month with its red carpet show featuring foreign models dressed as cops, or maybe it's that other club that blocked a city sidewalk with 50 million RMB in luxury cars last year. It's getting hard to keep track.





Taiyuan is the capital of Shanxi province, it is a city built on an intoxicating mix of coal and corruption that often can seem like a relic from another age with Xi Jinping's anti-austerity campaign kracking down on gaudy displays of wealth across the country -- but not in Taiyuan with its toddler fashion shows and bikini kickboxing bars.



Still, even with that background, netizens admit they are blown away by this one:

"Those luxury cars cost millions of RMB, where is he getting all that money from?" one netizen wrote in.

"Give me two cars like that and I'll drive a bus too," another commented.

"This man should resign, jobs like this should be reserved for people who need it," argued another web user.



"My other car is a Lamborghini."
