Jokowi Berharap Metallica Bawakan
Master of Puppets

hampir 20 tahun, akhirnya grup heavy metal Metallica
dipastikan tampil kembali di Jakarta pada 25 Agustus
mendatang.
Salah satu tokoh yang sudah tidak sabar untuk melihat
aksi grup musik asal California, Amerika Serikat
tersebut yaitu Gubernur DKI Jakarta Joko Widodo.
Ternyata bukan hanya sekedar ikut-ikutan, dalam suatu
kesempatan pria yang akrab disapa Jokowi tersebut
menyatakan keinginannya untuk mendengar salah satu
lagu hits Metallica yaitu "Master of Puppets".
"Tentunya banyak yang ingin saya dengar, salah
satunya yaitu Master of Puppets," ujar Jokowi , Kamis
(22/8/2013) sore.
Jokowi juga berharap Metallica membawakan lagu-lagu
lain yang menjadi favorit orang nomor satu di DKI ini
seperti "One", "The Day That Never Comes", "The
House Jack Built", dan sejumlah lagu lainnya.
"Saya mau dengar semuanya," ucap Jokowi .
Master of Puppets sendiri merupakan album ketiga
Metallica yang dirilis pada 1986. Saat itu Master of
Puppets menjadi musik yang paling berpengaruh di
kalangan penikmat heavy dan thrash metal. Bahkan
penjualan album tersebut cukup fantastis hingga empat
juta album dipastikan ludes.
Pada 25 Agustus nanti, James Hetfield (Vokalis), Lars
Ulrich (Drummer), Kirk Hammett (Guitar) dan Robert
Trujillo (Bass Guitar) akan membawakan sejumlah lagu
yang berasal dari album influental di zamannya ini.
Sekitar 20 tahun lalu, atau tepatnya pada 1993
Metallica menggelar konser di Stadion Lebak Bulus,
Jakarta Selatan. Saat itu, terjadi kerusuhan hebat.
Ribuan fans mengerumuni bus personel band hingga
polisi melakukan tindakan. Bentrok fans dan polisi pun
tak terhindari.
