Dear Photograph adalah salah satu blog yang kita rekomendasikan untuk dikunjungi. Blog ini merupakan sebuah gagasan sederhana, kreatif dan dapat membangkitkan kembali emosi akan sebuah kenangan lama. Dear Photograph mengajak semua orang untuk mengirimkan potongan foto-foto masa lalu yang dikemas dalam frame saat ini. Melihat koleksi foto-foto di situs ini dapat membuat perasaan bercampur aduk, apakah itu bahagia atau terharu.

Ide kreatif ini digagas oleh Taylor Jones, 22 yang ingin berbagi kenangan masa lalu kepada pengunjung website. Melalui blog yang ia bangun pada tahun 2011, ia mengajak semua orang untuk berbagi kenangan. Misinya sangat sederhana: kumpulkan foto lama, ambil kembali di tempat yang sama, gabungkan dan tulis caption yang unik dan dapat membangkitkan emosi.

Dalam beberapa minggu, Dear Photograph menjadi viral, jutaan orang mengunjungi situs ini dan ratusan orang telah berkontribusi untuk mengirimkan foto. Setahun kemudian, Taylor Jones memiliki ide untuk merangkumnya dalam sebuah buku setebal 241 halaman. Saat ini juga sedang dikembangkan aplikasi berbasis mobile. Dear Photograph telah menarik banyak perhatian dari banyak orang dan bahkan selebritis di Amerika Serikat turut berpartisipasi mengirimkan foto kenangan lama mereka. In the year 2000, Michiko came into our family and brought immeasurable joy. She passed away in 2012. How we wish she were still here so she can play with my niece Camille who is turning 1 year old in May. We miss feeding her, taking care of her, just being with her. Michiko… a true man’s best friend. Thank you for all the memories!

Looking back at my mom at age 9, I can see even then that she was a confident young woman. She still stands tall and proud today, even taller in my eyes. Thank you Mom for teaching me to be strong!
