kabar24..com, JAKARTA—Jagat Twitter Tanah Air tengah dihebohkan dengan surat terbuka kepada Presiden FIFA, Joseph S. Battler, yang dikirimkan oleh sebuah akun bernama @sheilayla.

Isi surat terbuka tersebut berisi permohonan agar FIFA mendukung penegakan sportivitas pada stasiun televisi di Indonesia yang memiliki hak siar resmi Piala Dunia 2014, agar tidak ditunggangi kepentingan politik terkait Pemilu Presiden 2014.

Dalam surat yang dikirimkan pada tanggal 3 Juni 2014, sang penulis surat yang bernama asli Shei Latiefah, menceritakan kegundahannya terhadap kemungkinan tunggangan politik pada hak siar resmi Piala Dunia 2014 di Indonesia.

Hal ini dikarenakan stasiun televisi terkait, yakni TvOne dan ANTV, merupakan milik keluarga Bakrie yang terlihat aktif mendukung salah satu kandidat, yakni capres dan cawapres Prabowo-Hatta.

Hal yang ditakutkan oleh Shei adalah jika dalam penayangan Piala Dunia 2014 nanti adalah akan disisipkannya kampanye terselubung, baik berupa video iklan maupun iklan tempel yang jamak ditemui dalam gelaran akbar olahraga tingkat dunia. Lebih jauh, Shei juga mengkhawatirkan akan terjadinya iklan tendesius terhadap salah satu capres yangtelah disebutkan di atas.

Sebagaimana yang ditulis di dalam surat terbukanya itu, Shei berharap bahwa penayangan Piala Dunia 2014 dilakukan dengan sebagaimana mestinya, tanpa harus ada campur tangan politik di dalamnya.

Dia juga berharap pihak FIFA sebagai induk sepak bola dunia, memberikan himbauan langsung kepada stasiun televisi terkait untuk menerapkan prinsip sportivitas yang merupakan harga mati bagi olahraga sepak bola.

Selain dikirim langsung kepada Presiden FIFA, surat terbuka tersebut juga diunggah ke blog pribadi Shei yang ia tautkan pada salah satu kicauannya di Twitter pada hari Senin (9/6/2014).

Dalam waktu singkat, kicauannya tersebut di-retweet sebanyak 75 kali. Bahkan tokoh terdepan Jaringan Islam Liberal (JIL), Ulil Abshar Abdalla, dan akun @LIVEFIFA2014 turut memperpanjang jangkauan baca surat terbuka tersebut.

Sejauh ini belum ada tanggapan apapun dari pihak FIFA maupun dua stasiun televisi yang disinggung oleh wanita yang juga merupakan pendiri Yayasan Sekarya Sobat Indonesia itu. (kabar24..com)

Dear Sir,
I hope this letter find you well.
My name is Shei from Indonesia, a country with 250 million populations in which most of them are fans of football like I do. I could not wait to enjoy the world cup this year. I’m so excited!

However, I have some concerns to share with you. The World Cup will happen at the same time with the presidential election in our country on July 9 2014. As always, during the election, our television will be dominated by tons of political campaigns. Unfortunately, the TV networks that hold exclusive right to broadcast the World Cup, TV-One and ANTV, are belong to a businessman who strongly support one of the presidential candidate. We heard some rumors that he would use the World Cup to conduct massive political campaign. And it's not fair.

I do concern to the presidential election. I also have decided whom to vote, but, of course, it is beyond that personal political right. I don’t care. What I care the most is, we have swing voters here, mostly youths. So, can you imagine? How the election rule would be violated here? There’s a media mogul whom would do anything to success one particular candidate (which we only have two candidates here). So, I hope, FIFA do concern to supervise things out here. I mean, the spirit of “true competition” should be implemented well.

Football should be a very fun yet competitive game. That’s why I love soccer. The spirit to keep on the right track, keep on the rule, is what define a healthy game. I believe, politic should be the same. If it’s not, why do they have such rules, right?

I believe you guys have some rule so the legal broadcasting right not to be misused.
It would be great and highly appreciated if you could take any necessary and possible action to ensure that world cup broadcast would not be used as a political tool to gain voters. Remember the spirit of a healthy game, sir
