Akhirnya setelah di tunggu beberapa lama ketersediaan Aplikasi Native Microsoft Office resmi dirilis untuk iPhone, Microsoft Office ini berjalan pada layanan Skydrive dan membutuhkan akses ke Office 365 (paket software Office berbasis cloud) untuk bisa dipakai. Para pemilik iPhone yang sudah berlangganan Office 365 bisa mengunduh Office untuk iOS secara gratis dari toko aplikasi App Store. Sebagai informasi, biaya lisensi untuk Office 365 mencapai 100 dollar AS per tahun untuk versi Home Premium.
Biaya Lisensi ini mungkin tidak terjangkau untuk kalangan masyarakat indonesia , kecuali mereka yang bekerja di kalangan kaum Koorperat menengah ke atas, Lisensi Microsoft Office ini iOS tidak mengurangi jatah lisensi 5 perangkat dari Office 365. sehingga dapat di aplikasikan dengan mudah bagi mereka yang sudah mempunyai akun Office 365 di PC ataupun MAC.

Microsoft Office ini tidak di support untuk perangkat Tablet besutan Apple yakni iPad, karena Microsoft Office Menurut CEO Microsoft bahwa pengguna iPad bisa langsung memakai Office Web Apps dari SkyDrive. Tak seperti iPhone, perangkat tablet populer ini memang dilengkapi dengan browser versi penuh. ada kemugkinan jika Microsoft Office hadir di iPad bisa jadi iklan yang selama ini yang menyindir Apple bahwa iPad tidak dapat digunakan untuk Microsoft Office tidak jadi terwujud sehingga Tablet Windows RT pun tidak akan tersaingi oleh iPad.
Belum di ketahui kapan microsoft akan merilis Microsoft Office untuk perangkat Android, mungkin bisa jadi tahun depan, karena sesuai janji Microsoft , Office akan tetap hadir di Android.
