"Goshawk"
Training aircraft T-45 Goshawk

United States are proud of their aircraft carrier fleet. Currently within the U.S. Navy including 10 aircraft carriers, another aircraft carrier, "Gerald R. Ford" launched, but is not included in the fleet. The main weapon of this armada is a deck-based aircraft. To prepare highly qualified pilots carrier-based aircraft in the U.S. have developed a special training aircraft carrier-based - T-45 «Goshawk» (in Russian "hawk"). The aircraft was developed based on a British training aircraft "Hawk" and is commercially available from Boeing and British British Aerospace (BAe). Currently, the aircraft is widely used in the U.S. Navy. By 2008 total flying aircraft T-45 Goshawk was 800,000 hours.

T-45 Goshawk - this double training aircraft increased and intermediate pilot training airfield bases, which can take off and landing from the deck of an aircraft carrier. The main purpose of the aircraft - carrier aviation pilot training. The Pentagon initially ordered 268 such aircraft, but then the order was reduced to 197 cars, eventually to January 2009 was transferred to 214 military aircraft from the final order in the 221 plane. In April 2008, the U.S. military announced the re-19 aircraft T-45C new electronic equipment that is able to simulate the EW equipment and synthetic aperture radar beam. With these changes, the aircraft T-45 can now be used for training pilots Super Hornet, E-2D Hawkeye, Prowler and Growler. At the same time the Navy told about its intention to acquire an additional 180 training aircraft of the latest modifications.

History. T-45 Goshawk begins in 1978, when the contest was announced a new training aircraft (CF), who was able to combine the advantages of CF increased pilot training TA-4J Skyhawk and CF intermediate pilot training T-2B / C Buckeye. The winner of this competition in 1981 and became the T-45 Goshawk. U.S. Navy opted for a modified version of training aircraft BAe Hawk Company as part of the American aviation training system that has been designed for the preparation of 600 pilots annually (in the 1990s and 2000s).

British aircraft Hawk was able to beat all of its competitors in a number of characteristics, including high fuel efficiency. On the choice of the British aircraft design was announced in November 1981, and after almost 5 years in May 1986 with the company «McDonnell Douglas» (in 1997 merged with Boeing) was contracted to conduct full-scale work on the engineering design of the aircraft for the needs of the Navy. That company McDonnell Douglas became the main contractor, subcontractor on the project is a British company BAe (now BAE Systems). BAe company responsible for work on the creation of the wing, tail and center fuselage, cockpit, tail and flight control systems. It was originally planned to create two variants of the aircraft: Maritime variant T-45A, which was intended to operate from the decks of aircraft carriers and land variant T-45B, which was supposed to be based on common ground. However, the extension of resources exploitation CF TA-4J and T-2 would allow the Pentagon to abandon land option, limiting aircraft T-45A.

The design of the base of the English version of the aircraft Hawk Mk.60 at the request of representatives of the U.S. Navy was made a lot of different changes. For the perception of large loads at the time of landing on the deck of an aircraft carrier airframe has been strengthened. The forward fuselage was extended in order to accommodate the new two-wheel underneath the nose landing gear rack. This stand was made compatible with those used on American aircraft carrier steam catapults. Undergone structural changes and main landing gear of the aircraft, which received the shock absorbers, which have a large working stroke. Was increased swing stabilizer and fin height, in addition to the plane appeared ventral ridge. In front and below the horizontal stabilizer were installed small falshkili, which were designed to parry throw pitch that inevitably arises at the moment when issued an air brake. In addition, the "hawks" have introduced new cross-links between the rudder and ailerons and used slotted slats located across the wing span. Slats had transmissions and electrical controls.

In general, the American aircraft had the following notable differences from its overseas counterpart. It appeared brake hook for landing on an aircraft carrier, as well as devices to take off with the help of a catapult. At the rear of the aircraft fuselage put 2 airbrake. The chassis has been changed on the nose landing gear were mounted two small diameter pneumatic. The aircraft received NACES ejection seat manufactured by "Martin-Baker," this seat is standard for U.S. Navy aircraft. The aircraft received a full set of American-made avionics.

Despite the fact that the machine is designed as a naval version, in fact, she stayed home airfield airplane, only occasionally going to the decks of aircraft carriers. The first test aircraft on the possibility of shipborne were held December 4, 1991 aboard the aircraft carrier "John F. Kennedy." In tests used two prototype engines F405-RR-400L and one pre-production cars with engine F405-RR-401. First serial trainer T-45A took off on 16 December 1991, but military pilots received their first aircraft of this type in October 1990. These were aircraft prototypes that were delivered to the fleet base Patak September River.

After launching aircraft into production over the years nurtured plans to equip their American engine design, so in September 1997 were test aircraft turbofan engine with AlliedSignal F124. Also, since the 73rd serial machines, equipment was updated cockpit. From this plane, it is made on the basis of 2 multifunction color displays, and later were modified so all of the outstanding designs. Aircraft with "glass cockpit" received a new designation - T-45C.

Airplane T-45 is designed for normal aerodynamic scheme, it has low-wing moderate sweep. Powerplant aircraft includes one Turbofan engine F405-RR-401, which has thrust 2650 kgf. Airframe design has been specially reinforced. The aircraft was equipped with a landing hook, the new two-wheel nose landing gear, has a more powerful wing mechanization (compared with the English analogue), and acquired a set of modernized avionics. In internal tanks of the aircraft can be up to 1312 kg of fuel. In addition to the external hardpoints aircraft can be accommodated 2 more additional fuel tank capacity of each tank - 591 l.

For pilot training on the use of various weapons sites external suspension T-45 Goshawk can hang unguided and guided missiles, bombs, gun pods suspended. For the suspension arms used 3 pylon - one under each wing of the plane and one ventral central pylon. Ventral to the central pylon can be mounted 30mm cannon Aden, and a container with the ammunition for it.

Flight performance of T-45A:
Dimensions: Wingspan - 9.39 m; wing area - 16,68 m, length of the aircraft - 11.97 m, height - 4.27 m
Maximum take-off weight - 6387 kg Empty - 4460 kg.
Powerplant - 1 turbofan Rolls-Royce/Turbomeca F405-RR-401, Rod - 26 kN.
Maximum speed - 997 km / h
Practical flight range - 1296 km.
Service ceiling - 12,950 m
Crew - 2 pers.
Payload - bombs, rockets and manageable, cannons on 3 hardpoints.

=======================
Kalau pesawat F-16 suara mesinnya seperti "Cengkerik"(jangkrik) kalau sedang taxi.... kriiik, kriiikkk, kriiikk.
Salam.
