|SPRING BED ARAB|Pemerintah Suriah Mendekati Kemenangan, Oposisi Terpecah Belah
Tentara Suriah Ambil Alih 40 Desa

Commuting on key Syria road back to normal
The road links the central city of Hama with the flashpoint city of Aleppo in the north.
It hosted the first convoy of over 20 trucks carrying fuel supplies to Aleppo on Wednesday.
The route had been closed since August because of heavy fighting between the army and foreign-sponsored militants.
The army took control of the road on Sunday night after engaging in a fierce battle with the militants.
This came on the heels of several recent advances by the army against the militants in the north.
Since mid 2012, the government forces have been fighting with the foreign-backed militants to take control of Aleppo, Syria's largest city and the country’s former commercial hub.
Meanwhile, France and Saudi Arabia agreed to give more weapons to the foreign-backed Takfiri militants operating in Syria.
French Defense Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian said on Monday, “Our approach to the situation is identical.”
He made the comment after holding talks with Saudi officials in the city of Jeddah.
The French defense minister said Paris and Riyadh would support the so-called Syrian National Coalition and the terrorist Free Syrian Army “on the military level, as well as the humanitarian and political levels.”
Syria has been gripped by deadly unrest since 2011. According to reports, the Western powers and their regional allies -- especially Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey -- are supporting the militants operating inside Syria.
The United Nations said on Monday that more than four million more Syrians will be forced out of their homes in 2014 by the escalating conflict in the country.
Two million Syrians are expected to take refuge outside the country while 2.25 million others are predicted to be internally displaced in the next year.

Infighting kills nearly 50 in Aleppo
About 50 foreign-backed militants have been killed in three days of infighting among armed groups in the northern Syrian city of Aleppo.
The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said on Saturday that the fighting, which reportedly erupted on Thursday between the al-Qaeda-linked Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) and the militants of the Free Syrian Army (FSA), claimed around 50 lives, AFP reported.
"At least 30 fighters from the Ababil Brigade and 14 from ISIL have been killed in combat, and that toll could rise further," said the head of the Observatory, Rami Abdel Rahman.
He stated that the clashes took place in a number of districts in the country’s former commercial hub and that the ISIL militants made gains in the fighting.
Meanwhile, battles continue in the northeastern city of Hasakah, where the Takfiri militants are fighting against Kurds.
