Synopsis
Aikawa Ayumu is a normal high school boy. One day he is killed by a serial killer and revived as a zombie by a necromancer named Eucliwood Hellscythe. He starts to serve Eu as her guard but he happens to deprive the mahou shoujo Haruna of her magic power. Haruna orders Ayumu to fight against the anti-mahou shoujo system "Megalo" in her place.

Shinichi Kimura's story of boy resurrected as a zombie by necromancer girl
Fujimi Shobo's website and Twitter account for Shinichi Kimura's Kore wa Zombie Desu ka? light novel series have announced that an anime adaptation of the series is in the works. The website indicates that the creator of the series will appear on the tentatively titled "Kore wa Zombie Desu ka? Hai, Kimura Shinichi One Heart With You" web radio program to make the announcement and provide more details on Thursday.
The story centers around a lazy high school boy named Ayumu Aikawa who gets killed during a spate of mysterious serial killings. However, Ayumu is resurrected as a zombie by a necromancer girl named "Yū" (Eucliwood Hellscythe), who Ayumu had just met before dying. Ayumu reawakens in a world surrounded by "masō shōjo" (magically equipped girls) and vampire ninja. Ayumu is assigned the duties of a masō shōjo by a magical warrior girl named Haruna.
Kimura published the first Kore wa Zombie Desu ka? light novel volume last year, and the fifth volume is shipping this month. Sacchi has been drawing a manga adaptation in Fujimi Shobo's Dragon Age magazine since January, and a drama CD shipped in December.

Kore wa Zombie Desu ka? Light Novels to Bundle Anime
Original anime DVD to include unaired 13th episode
A special edition for the eighth volume of Shinichi Kimura's Kore wa Zombie Desu ka? light novel series will ship with a bundled original anime DVD on June 3, 2011. To celebrate the upcoming television anime adaptation, the bundled DVD will include an unaired 13th episode, which will run about 24 minutes long. The special edition of the light novel volume will also have an exclusive cover illustration and a special case.
