Top Cow comics held their Comic-Con panel where it was announced that a Darkness feature film was in the works.

The Darkness movie is said to feature not only Jackie Estrada, but Sara Pezzini as Witch Blade in addition to Angelus.

New Regency, Mandeville and Sketch Film are said to be behind the Darkness movie.

Bleeding Cool also reports that the Darkness movie is further along than a "development" phase.

The Darkness first appeared in the comic books in 1996 created by Marc Silvestri.

It's considered one of the universe's primordial forces and enables the bearer to control the power of The Darkness which includes the power to summon the Darklings as well as suit up in a type of armor.

The Darkness creatures and constructs are susceptible to light, with the Angelus being it's rival and opposite.

Throughout the years The Darkness has been featured in many comic books as well as its own video game series.
