Synopsis
LOOSE CANNONS is a crowd-pleasing romantic comedy by award-winning director Ferzan Özpetek ("Facing Windows", "Steam", "His Secret Life"). The story begins with Tommaso (Riccardo Scamarcio) deciding to tell the truth about his sexuality to his large, traditional southern Italian family who has operated a pasta-making business since the 1960s. But far from from just another coming-out story, the film – filmed in Southern Italy - is not only new, interesting and entertaining but deeply felt, lavishly funny and one of the most visually beautiful movies ever made.
Offering multiple and inter-generational perspectives, friends, lovers, and family come together in this spectacularly vibrant and moving film, offering everything from drama to farce, fantasy to a reality that moves from chuckles to tears.
