Country Green Building Professional

Responsibilities:

Primary Responsibilities
PT SGS Indonesia seeks to hire a Green Building Professional for the execution of its Sustainable Building Solution Services. Main responsibilities will be to execute and implement Green Building Facilitation/Certification Services with primary focus on LEED US and Greenship. Other responsibilities will be to assist in the development of other SGS Green Building portfolio services such as Energy and Day-lighting Simulation, Energy Performance Audits (Levels 1 to 3), 3rd Party commissioning services and Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ). The person should establish strong rapport with customers in coordination with the Local and Regional Green Building Managers. This full time position based in Jakarta is expected to require some travel in country. To thrive in this position, the new hire must be self- motivated and highly productive, innovative, flexible, resourceful and an effective communicator. The ideal candidate must have proven track record of project execution in the Building Construction Industry. In addition he/she should have good understanding of green building criteria and how to make buildings more energy and water efficient. Specific experience of building management systems, energy performance, fundamental and enhanced building commissioning and building life cycle assessment concepts will be considered as an advantage

Reporting to:
• ENVI Business Development Manager

Specific responsibilities:
• Planning and execution of facilitation services for LEED and Greenship Certification scheme projects from the proposal stage through project completion Develop and maintain contact with customers such as multinational companies, real estate developers/financing houses, etc., with the country GB council and building authorities/institutions; Sharing best practices, costs and experience between project teams through communications and populating the company Green Building intranet site; Provide technical expertise to other departments in the organization; In collaboration with SGS Indonesia Environment Business Development Manager, support SGS mission in Indonesia to capture a significant portion of existing and future market to become the leader in sustainable building solutions; Championing energy efficiency and green building strategies for new and retrofit development projects

Requirements:
Profile
• BS Degree or equivalent in science or technological fields, preferably design, and/or architectural disciplines, building electrical and/or mechanical engineering, building operations, etc.; Greenship and/or LEED AP designations preferred; 3+ years experience in a building-related field: construction, design, mechanical or electrical engineering, sustainable high-performance design or development; Knowledge of green building, energy conservation, alternative energy and sustainability requirements; Working knowledge of ASHRAE, PECI, BREEAM or LEED commissioning protocols considered as a plus;
