RELOCATING OUR CURRENT CAPITAL CITY TO KALIMANTAN
Hi again, guysemoticon-Big Grin.Tomorrow will be my first day in my 6th semester and yet I've still got nothing to do,so I'll try to spend my time making this threademoticon-Big Grin

So,as the title stated above,it its about relocating our capital city into Kalimantan which still have a relation with our current issue in our capital city, flood.

Let's get through to my points of view which are:

RELOCATING OUR CURRENT CAPITAL CITY TO KALIMANTAN

1.Geologically speaking….

Ring of Fire….
The first aspect I’d like to observe is its geological aspects. Kalimantan is the biggest island in Indonesia which occupies an area of 743.300km2. Also, Kalimantan is an island which is not passed by the ring of fire which indirectly stated that it has passive tectonics activities. Let’s try to compare this Kalimantan’s current geological situation with the current situation in Java. Java itself occupies an area of 126.700km2 and it is being passed by the ring of fire’s route and of course it will always has a big possibility to trigger a big scale of earthquakes or volcanic eruptions or even tsunamis which become a cataclysmic impact because the tectonic settings of this island is currently active. So, why Java including several islands is possessing an active tectonic settings but not Kalimantan?.

Geologically speaking, Java and Sumatra are islands which are parts of Eurasia continental plate which is apparently colliding with indo-Australia oceanic plate and this oceanic plate is being subducted beneath Eurasia continental plate and it is still subducting as we’re taking our breath right now. Kalimantan is way different from these two islands whereas it is not currently interact with other plates and has been considered by pundits as the safest place in Indonesia in a matter of natural disaster

Jakarta’s landscape….
Another thing to reconsider to move our capital city to Kalimantan based on geological aspect is its landscape. As we see that Java, particularly, Jakarta, is a city where in a geological study is called as a basin .A basin itself is a lower area comparing with its surroundings which mostly have a kind of bowl geometry, ergo, as a law of physics stated that fluids will move into a lower elevation, so there is no wonder why Jakarta is always suffering a flood. Apparently, Jakarta’s landscape itself still keeps lowering itself from its surroundings which are not only caused by its basic natural landscape, which is a basin, but also with two particular reasons. First, as the water is still running off toward Jakarta, it is currently bringing some material within the water.

Those materials which are consisting by sedimentary grains will be accumulated in the place where the water stops to flow which is Jakarta. Those sedimentary grains will be accumulated into an enormous number which will make this sedimentary grains accumulation into a very massive mass that is enough to press this landscape of Jakarta to a lower state. Second is the development of tons of gigantic buildings in Jakarta which is becoming another burden in lowering Jakarta’s landscape. Those two aspects are more than enough to faster this current Jakarta’s landscape to its lowest state which indirectly stated that the flood disaster will become more cataclysmic than ever in this coming years

2.Another aspect….

Another aspect in considering to relocate our current capital city into Kalimantan is social and economy aspects. Indonesia is a very vast country which are consist by thousands of islands. Nevertheless, Looking the abound of both, natural resources and human resources ,this country seems not to develop as it must be.

One of many reasons that grounding this fact is because the economy’s activities is too concentrate in Jakarta and its surroundings which become some kind like a chain reaction to another events to occur, like example: It is attracting numerous people from another cities to come to Jakarta in hope to gain a better life and this could possibly lead to another issue which is a rapid growth of people in Jakarta because those numerous people that come to Jakarta will most likely stay in here, either they get a better life or vice versa, married and have families which is why Jakarta is over-populated. And yet, this issue is having another chain reaction which is the exponentially increasing number of jobless people that is happening because the job fields in Jakarta will never be capable to accommodate the rapid growth of people in Jakarta. Sadly, it still has another chain reaction which is the escalating number of criminal’s acts and poverty in Jakarta due to those jobless issues.

Retrospecting Kalimantan, it is a giant island which has a lot more possibility to accommodate the rapid growth of Indonesian people and by that will deny another chain reaction’s issues which I stated above.

Well, that’s allemoticon-Big Grin… and yeah, this is merely my point of views regarding to this issue. Feel free to add some points or maybe to deny some points of mine. I’d really love to hear it from u emoticon-Big Grin
