I totally feel what all of you all feel.

Blackberry is really a great phone to use, and now it is really the only competitor to the iPhone - which is dominating the market share and not good for everyone.

BUT - Singtel or should i say, STINKTEL is really CHEATING all blackberry users. This is said as i am a Singtel user myself; not sure about M1 or starhub though.

Like everyone else here, this is my story of stinktel cheating me:
1) I applied for the blackberry data 3GB local data assuming it covers ALL my data usage. At least it is what the sales people at the shop and over the phone and even their own staff tell me.
2) I got charged for the 3G BIS plan and used 200MB+ last month, which amounted to $1024, but stinktel only covered me $824+ back. My BLOODY bill amounted to $200+
3) Called stinktel and they put me from finance to technical to all over their departments which told me different things. Finally, told the guy on the phone. Put me to your manager, i refuse to speak to everyone else who don't know nuts.
4) Manager called me back and finally gave me the full explanation.


How stinktel works with BIS is this:
-For data, there are 3 different networks they use; internet, E-ideas and Blackberry.
-3GB BIS plan covers ONLY E-ideas (if it is activated) and Blackberry non 3rd party apps (but how the heck would u know if the apps are 3rd party or not)
-The guy also told me that this is clearly stated on the website under terms and conditions (like who understands this crap)
-So, you can change it to e-ideas, but if you use data thru the 'internet' network, you still pay for what you use.


Why i said stinktel is CHEATING us:
1) obviously there is 1% of people who use more than 3GB of data to start with, so creating a plan for 3GB and charging $25 is ripping us all off. But why do we still use it? cos it is the only one that covers web browsing as well, 1GB does not.
2) Even with 3GB local data, not everything is covered - worst still, you do not know what is covered and what is not.
3) Clearly this is hidden thats why it is under the terms and conditions which no one reads (even if they do, they prob dont understand it) until they recieve a $200+ bill mainly from data like me.
4) Singtel sales and advertisements still happily advertise to everyone to use the 3GB local data and covers ALL local data - which is a clearcut lie
5) Singtel youth plan is the only one that has all 3 networks covered, who are the main users of blackberry? the working adults like myself who NEED these apps and can pay for them. So they are looking to rip us all off.

So to the people at singtel, F$#^43y5FH$HD$T%&% to you.


The best way to salvage your 2 year contract as many have previously discussedand like what i intend to do tomorrow is:
-3G Flexi (3GB) + 1GB BIS.
