Military trainer jet crashes in South Korea

HOENGSEONG, South Korea, Nov. 15 (Yonhap) -- A military trainer jet crashed in a mountainous region in northeastern South Korea on Thursday, but it was unclear if there are any casualties, police said.

The T-50B plane went down at 10:28 a.m. on a mountain in Hoengseong, about 90 kilometers east of Seoul, and sparked a fire at the scene, police said. Firefighters are trying to get the blaze under control, officials said.
