Voice Actress Group Sphere Star in Natsuiro Kiseki Anime (Updated)

Sunrise to animate 2012 TV project; Sphere to sing Squid Girl sequel's opening

The anime departments of the retailers Tower Records and HMV reported on Saturday that the voice actress group Sphere will star in the original anime Natsuiro Kiseki (Summer-Colored Miracle). The anime is slated to air on television next year, and the anime studio Sunrise is producing it. Sphere made the announcement at the "Athletic Harmonies -Dangerous Stage-" event that just ended at Tokyo's Yoyogi National Gymnasium on Saturday evening, and a key visual image from the anime was displayed on stage.

The four actresses in Sphere — Minako Kotobuki, Ayahi Takagaki, Haruka Tomatsu, and Aki Toyosaki — launched their own live-action television series, Sphere Club, in July. The Blu-ray Discs and DVDs for the series will go on sale on December 7. There will also be an official app for smartphones released. Sphere will take part in the "LisAni! Live" concert at Tokyo's Nippon Budōkan arena on December 4.

Sphere will sing "High Powered," the Shinryaku!? Ika Musume television anime sequel's opening theme song which will go on sale on October 26.

Sphere actresses star in Sunrise's 2012 TV anime with Saki head writer Urahata

The official website for the Natsuiro Kiseki anime series opened on Friday and revealed the staff, including director Seiji Mizushima (first Fullmetal Alchemist anime, Gundam 00, Un-Go). The voice actress group Sphere already announced in September that they will star in this original television anime series next year.

Ryuichi Kimura is assisting Mizushima on direction again as he did on Hanamaru Kindergarten, and Tatsuhiko Urahata (Saki, Ichigo 100%, Monster) is editing the series scripts. Hidari (Fractale) created the original character designs that Yuichi Tanaka (Toaru Majutsu no Index, Toaru Kagaku no Railgun, Last Exile) adapted for animation.

The four actresses in Sphere — Ayahi Takagaki, Minako Kotobuki, Haruka Tomatsu, and Aki Toyosaki — will play Saki, Natsumi, Yuka, and Rinko, respectively (pictured above from left to right).

The official website of the upcoming April TV Anime Natsuiro Kiseki (夏色キセキfinally got a revamp recently and due to the fact the we mentioned Toaru Kagaku no Railgun and Toaru Kagaku no Railgun a couple of days ago, I thought we should also bring this to our readers. Not a news at all since you may have heard of it a couple of weeks ago. Produced by Sunrise, Kiseki will is another well promoted original Anime coming this Spring. The reason I mentioned Index and Railgun is because Tanaka Yuichi (田中 雄一 is doing the character design of Natsuiro Kiseki. Thus if fans are waiting impatiently for the two series, you should keey an eye in this Spring and see if Natsuiro Kiseki will interest you. Another thing to note is the Seiyu group sphere will play the main roles.
