For me it's not the matter of rating but rather preference. A movie can have a rating of 10 out of 10 and still I might not like it. Romance for me is overrated. Most of those are not slang, but swear words. Swear words are more universal than slangs, because sometimes different English have different slangs but generally similar swear words (maybe except for my preferred one, simply because it sounds just a tad less offensive). No wonder you got exposed...
